I dropped down on to the roof, running across until I got to the garage roof. I jumped and rolled a little, so my landing was softer. I then got back up and dashed to the edge where I used one arm to swing down to the bins. They tumbled over from my sudden weight, making me jump to the floor. I saw the gates in sight, all I had to do was keep running. But no, even that became impossible. A sudden force surrounded me, making my limbs cease up. I was stuck in a running position, my feet almost glued to the floor. "What the-?!" I called, trying to move something more than my eyes. I then saw Marcel through the gates, one hand raised. He was the one who froze me?! I got busted, and I didn't know what the punishment was for that. You know, I'm not sure what vampires have in mind when someone tries to escape.

Marcel looked pretty angry, but it could have just been his resting bitch face. He slowly walked closer to me, his hand still open with his palm facing me. He sighed and stood opposite me. "When are you gonna learn Craig..." He asked rhetorically.
"I got it from here." Another voice spoke from behind me. Tyler walked over to Marcel, putting one hand on his shoulder. Marcel nodded, and lowered his hand. My joints loosened a little, but it was like I was stuck in some super slow motion. "You really are pushing your luck." Tyler stated, walking back and forth in front of me. I tried my dandiest to keep moving forward, aiming for the gates. Maybe he wouldn't notice if I was going so slow. I could feel Marcel's power slowly fading away, making me move slightly easier. Tyler took his step in front of me again, his eyes clearly veiny and baggy. "And I thought we could be friends." He added, sounding sarcastic.

I tried to move my mouth to reply, but I was still pretty slow. It would have came out just as a blur. I decided not to. Tyler noticed my small movement, which he probably had done for a while. "Alright. Back to the beginning." He rolled his eyes, raising his hand. He clicked his fingers with a slight swing in his arm. I felt all my joints become free again, making me drop to the floor in surprise. I also fell because he had once again, knocked me out. Damn vampires...

I woke up in the bedroom, all wrapped up like a burrito. You could tell someone had tucked me in like I was five. I tore the covers off and dangled my feet off of the bed. I looked over at the window, which was now barred over. I should've known they would do that. I sighed, running a hand roughly through my hair. It needed cutting seriously. I took my glasses from the night stand and got up, walking around the room. It was still morning, and I could feel my stomach grumbling. I made my way to the door and tested the handle, revealing that the door was now locked. I groaned, progressively getting louder. I tried the handle a few more times, just in case my strength was against me, but it wasn't me that was the problem. I knocked on the door with both my fists and my head. "Helloooo...?" I called, trying to get someone's attention. "I can't live like this." I stated, my voice quieter.

My weight was suddenly moved forwards as the door swung open, making me fall. Tyler stood the other side holding a tray of something in one hand. The other caught my arm and stabled me. He held the tray above his head so I wouldn't knock it. I dusted myself off and looked him up and down. He was wearing a white jumper and black jeans. "Watch it! This is a new fucken' jumper." He complained, pushing past me to get in my room. I looked at him dumbfounded, as he set down the tray on my bed. "What?" He hissed, looking at me with an eyebrow raised. I shook my head.
"N-nothing! I'm just hungry." I replied, making him roll his eyes.
"Well there's breakfast. Your next lesson starts in an hour so shower and change. You smell worse than a werewolf." He complained, wafting a hand in front of his face. He walked back over to the door and walked out. I heard the lock click.

I looked to my bed where the tray rested. There was a full English breakfast. I'm not sure why they call it an English breakfast, but then again I took an A level in biology, not catering. I sat on the edge of my bed and took the plate from the tray, along with a knife and fork. I ate and looked over the small view I had from my window. I didn't want to be here, but I had no choice. Well, until the year of 'reckoning' was over. After a year I'd have to find another university to join, or try and be accepted in to my old one again. I'd have to make new friends, get a new dorm, find a part time job. I groaned in frustration and left the rest of my breakfast, I wasn't hungry anymore. I grabbed a towel from in one of the drawers and made me way to the shower.

After showering I had calmed down a little. It was quiet, meaning that I could hear almost every noise happening. That's when I heard a buzzing noise. Had it always been there? It might have been the buzzing of the light above me, but I hadn't noticed it before. It was an old building, maybe it was some heater in another room. I shook my head, no, it was inconsistent. I stood from the bed, a white towel still wrapped around my waist. I tried to play hot-cold with the noise until eventually I had found the source of buzzing. It was in one of the draws on the back wall of my room. I tried to pull it open, but it was locked of course. I huffed, but did not want to be defeated again. I walked back over to the bed, getting a good grip on one of the posts that reached almost to the ceiling. I snapped it off, making a sharp end on one side. I pointed the knife-like end into the top of the drawer and pushed upwards to release the draw.
