Epilogue

"I do" I hear Sophia recite. I feel Codys large hand lay on my thigh and I start to cry.

"you may now kiss the bride!" the priest said. Sophia was dipped down and kissed by her groom Sean. They were so in love. Everyone at the wedding got up and cheered for the newly weds.

The venue was amazing, huge willow trees hung with twinkle lights and lanterns hung. It was just past sunset, in mid July, when we all went to the outside reception, with a dance floor, cake, and food.

I grabbed Codys hand and led him to our seats. We just graduated as the class of 2017 at Chico state college. College was amazing, and probably the best years of my life.

"Hey girl!" I turn to see Izzie, with deep dark red hair and Jessie with bleached blonde hair.

"Oh my god!" I grab her into a hug, "your hair! both of you!" I laugh as Jessie pulls Izzie into her.

"Yeah we dyed it because why not?" We all laughed. It was so nice to see them.

"How's Seattle?" I asked. While Cody, in a suit and tie, talked with Jessie.

"It's so good, Jessie's in a band and so am I. College has been amazing, kind of turned us into a few hippies but still i love him." I laughed with my best friend from high school. "How's you and Cody?"

"Better than ever, Cody and I want to move to So cal and then travel around Europe for a little." I smiled while looking over at Cody.

"That's so awesome! Oh my god.. Is.. is that a ring??" Izzie said shocked looking at my hand. I laughed.

"No, we are planning on getting engaged in the next few years but not anytime soon. We just want to be young for a little longer." We laughed as the glowing bride approached us.

"Sophia! You look absolutely amazing. I am so happy for you." Izzie, Sophia, and I all became close because we all partied together in Vegas most before college.

"Yeah you do, This venue is insanely beautiful." Izzie added.

"Thank you both so much. I am so glad you guys could make it! I miss you both, we need to all catch up!" We hugged and heard the music start. I ran over to Cody and grabbed his hands.

Sweet Home Alabama was on and I had a few drinks you could say. "SWEEEET HOME ALABAMMMA"  Cody swung me laughing and I just looked into his eyes. He looked so different. Maybe it was his cut hair, he had it faded like a greaser now, which was insanely hot, but i think it was the happiness that over took him.

By the end of the wedding, Cody helped me to the car and I was still dancy and drunk. "You do know I love you right boy." Cody laughed, and drove back to his small house he rented.

"I love you too." He said, stopping the car. He leaned over and kissed me. "Now lets go inside."

He helped me inside and I closed the door, slamming it. "Now you don't think the party's over do ya?" I said trying to be sexy.

Cody just laughed, with his low hot voice, "Well it is almost 1 o clock." He stepped towards me.

"you know what i wanna do?" I said stepping toward him, our lips just centimeters apart.

He closed his eyes and said into my ear, "Lets make a fort." I laughed and ran over to the cabinet and pulled out a bunch of sheets. He went and grabbed some chairs setting them up.

We built it and climbed in, with his radio, some oreos, and a sketch book. This is what I loved about us, we would do weird shit like this at 1 o clock in the morning. We were 23 and in love and totally clueless of where we were going, but this is it. I know it isn't much but sometimes these late nights sketching each other in a fort with nirvana blasting and a bit tipsy, are the things i love most. I don't need diamonds or even roses, a dirty blonde boy and some oreos will do just fine.
