CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"Hey buddy..." Monica walked in with a ice cream cone. My favorite flavor, mint chip, she knows me too well. 

"Omg I've been craving this!" I said while she handed me the dripping ice cream. 

"How are you?" She asked, looking down at my ribs. I sat up and pulled up my shirt and showed her the bruising and swelling. "Dang, you were pretty banged up." 

"Yeah but i'm going to be able to go to school on Monday! Which I mean I am dreading but I thought I was gunna miss a lot and have a lot of work." 

"Oh that's good! Hows you and Cody?" She said, while looking through my closet. 

"Omg, He is honestly the best guy." I said, with mint ice cream rolling down my chin. 

"I want to like meet him! We should all hangout on Friday and go out to dinner! Max would love it! He is like the nicest guy and I know he will like Cody." She said this while jumping up and down. 

I laughed, "Cody isn't the most friendly guy to goody too shoes like Max, but why not? I'll ask Cody later tonight." 

"Max is not a goody too shoes! He is a bad boy! a sexy bad boy!" Monica said sarcastically. Max was a tall, tan, like Hawaiian guy with big muscles. To be honest, he was pretty hot but he was really school focused and on asb. Which I mean was perfect for Monica but just not my type. 

"Max? a bad boy? I bet the worst thing he has done was like not do his homework." She jumped on my bed and turned on the tv laughing. We watched Awkward, which was kind of Monica and my thing. She went home around 6 and Cody was coming over at 7. 

I layed down on my bed and put in my headphones. I listened to Ed Sherans song Drunk, which is like the best song. I layed there and thought about Cody and us. It was senior year... Was he going to  College? I knew I wanted to. Izzy was going to some party school and Monica was going to Europe. I sat and just thought about the future, which is so scary. I know every thing happens for a reason and I try to process why Cody has scars and why my dad was so far. I needed him so many times, when mom was working, which I get. She has to support me but sometimes I feel like she doesn't even know me. She would look at me and not see how I am dying inside. I think about why I gave Cody a chance, maybe he was just going to hurt me in the end. Maybe he was just another douche bag to add to the list. I just don't get how the devil can pull you towards a person that looks so much like an angel when he even says my name or smiles or looks at me with those green eyes.

I shook it off and heard Cody lightly knock on my door. "Hi beautiful." I hear as this blonde hair cutie comes and plants a sweet smooch on me. He sat next to me on my bed and I was staring at the ceiling and I could feel him looking at the side of my face. He put his hand on my cheek, feeling my light soft hairs. I turn to face him and his green eyes were just beautiful. He smiled and i feel like it is a lightning bolt that makes my face brighten. 

"What's the future?" I asked and he just looked at me for awhile and I just stared at his facial expressions thinking about what I had just asked him. 

"I don't know Haley." He looked up at the ceiling and shut his eyes. I shut my eyes with him. We sat in silence, that was not awkward but just comfortable. He sat up and ran his fingers through his blonde locks. I could see his powerful shoulders through his shirt. 

"Wanna go on like a double date on Friday with my friend Monica." He twisted to look at me and raised an eyebrow. "You don't have to if you don't want to." 

"If you want to I will." His face became sweet and soft. I leaned in to kiss him and he grabbed me and pulled me under him. He started to kiss my neck when my phone started to ring. I grabbed it and saw it was Izzie. He kept kissing me when I answered. "Hey whats up?" 

"You breathing pretty hard, you and Cody getting it on?" She laughed then continued, "Wanna go out with Jessie and I? We are going to the fair down the street. Tonight is the last night its up!" 

I cupped my hand over the microphone and whispered to Cody if he wanted to go. He nodded eagerly. "Sure, Ill be there soon." 

"Okay, meet us at the spinny ride." I hung up and Cody got up and headed down stairs. 

I got into his car and he turned on some Frank Ocean. I snugged up next to him with my head on his shoulder. 

Izzie ran up to me and handed us both 2 tickets. We got on this ride called gravitation which like spun so fast it sucks you to the walls. It started to spin and Cody already got like backwards with Jessie. 

We got off and walked around. I really wanted this huge panda bear and so Cody won it for me in one shot. We walked away from the game and suddenly Cody went back won another panda bear. I looked at him curiously and he walked over to a small little girl with braids and said, "It looked like you liked my girlfriends bear, so I got one for you." She had the hugest grin and gave Cody a hug. 

"That was so sweet." I kissed him and he put his arm around me. I looked over and saw Winter and Colton. "Hey!" 

"Hi, how you feeling?" Winter said while hugging me. 

"Good as new!" I said doing sarcastic jumping jacks. I looked down and saw Colton holding Winters hand. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" I winked and said my goodbyes. 

I asked Cody to take me on the ferris wheel since Izzie would never let us cause she has a fear of them. He got more tickets then we got on. The fair lights gleamed on his face so nicely and he just smiled at me. "Haley, you are just so god damn gorgeous." We kissed while on the top and I felt like I was in a movie. 

At the end of the night, Cody drove through McDonald's and got us both mcflurrys. I told him, he was trying to make me fat and he just laughed. We had a intense make out sesh and some rubbing before I got out and went into the house. 

I got into bed and saw on facebook, he requested for me to be his girlfriend. I laughed and confirmed. I texted him, "Hey so now we're facebook offical?(;" 

"Of course!(;" 

"I'm tired goodnight xoxo" 

"Goodnight babe xoxo" My stomache gittered with butterflies. I shut off my light and fell into a deep sleep. I couldn't even dream because for once reality was better than my dreams.
