"So what are you going to do about it?" Ty asked as we walked up the stairs to the gymnasium three days later.

I had stayed out of school because I'd actually had an allergic reaction that Tuesday before school and it takes forever for the swelling to go down. Needless to say I'd forwarded all of Alex's calls and ignored all of his texts. I had a lot on my plate this week and he only made it worse. I ready to kill.

There was a pep rally being held for all of the Fall sports players and everyone had to be in attendance, the only students who wouldn't be were the students who were lucky enough to stay home.

I really didn't want to be here, I hadn't seen Katie or Tomas and after I told Alex that Tomas had kissed me I wasn't sure if he'd blabbed about it to her, so walking into this gymnasium on this sunny Friday morning was like being blind.

"I'm gonna tell Tomas." I stated as Ty held the door open.

"You sure you wanna do that?" He asked.

"Do what?" Jess asked approaching us.

Jess had gotten back Tuesday, due to in climate weather conditions and I had to spend all night filling her in on the week's events, she went through all of the emotions and it was a sight to see, but now she was out for blood.

"She's gonna tell Tomas about Katie and Alex." Ty told her.

"Well she should, little dirty blonde-"

"Students please take your seats." A teacher said ushering us to the bleachers.

"I gotta go to the locker room so I'll see you after." Ty said rushing away.

"Why don't you guys date already." Jess teased.

"He doesn't even like me like that." I scoffed.

"Really?" Jess deadpanned.

"Yeah. Really." I said as we sat at the top of the bleachers

"He was literally blushing the while time he was near you. He wants you." She said.

"And how can you be so sure this time. Aren't you the one who said that Alex wanted me? And look at how that turned out." I said looking toward the locker room where the football team was now flooding out of loudly.

I won't even try to deny that my feelings were hurt. This is a completely different experience than I'd planned on for my senior year. I'd rather be back at Rosewood, where I was happy and where the rest of my friends were.

No matter how much people put down Rosewood, on the inside looking out there wasn't a better school. Everyone supported each other, we were all a family. But here, all people do is try to hurt each other and step on each other to get to the top.

Katie was the first of her kind that I'd ever met and honestly doing this little feud with her everyday was wearing down my mental health. All of this back and forth is weighing heavy on my emotions and I could tell internally and externally.

For the past few days I haven't been resting well, reoccurring nightmares of Alex and Katie and different plots they were planning. The lack of sleep is causing bags and I'm just in a mood that feels very permanent.

"Look, D I know you're upset about him lying to you but after you tell Tomas what's going on you won't have to worry about them anymore." Jess said.

"Students please quiet down as we begin our assembly." The Principal said and she stood there until the gym was quiet.

"Now to introduce our Brentwood Tigers cheerleaders!" She yelled.

And with that the cheerleaders came out and did three routines and were individually introduced. I felt uneasy the entire time watching Katie, she looked like she had something planned but I didn't know what it was, after the cheerleaders came the marching band then volleyball, softball, and finally the football team.
