Two weeks into the school year and you'd think that getting dressed would be easier, after 20 minutes of going back and forth in my wardrobe I finally settled for my favorite tie-dye button up, black ripped skinny jeans, and tie-dye vans. Since my hair had to fit my outfit, a simple puff did the trick.

When I was done I quickly grabbed my keys, phone, and backpack off of my bed and left to pick up Jess. I know what you're thinking, if Jess' parents have all this money, then why doesn't she have a car?, simple. Jess has had three cars since sophomore year, but one way or another she gets into a wreck and the last one was pretty bad, so her parents are scared to let her drive.

I sat outside of Jess's house honking for about ten minutes until she finally came running out with one of her boots in her hand.

"Damn, why'd you come so early, D?" She said getting in and throwing her backpack in the backseat.

"Are you serious? It's 7:45." I said with a blank expression.

"Oh well, put that pretty little foot on the gas pedal before we're late to school, honey!" She said pulling down the visor and applying her makeup.

"Keep on, I'm gonna punch you in the face." I said pulling out of her driveway.

When we got to school I'd seen that the good parking spot was empty but I didn't feel like hearing Coffee Stain's mouth today so I just took the spot next to the space. Jess and walked into the building and there was no sign of Coffee Stain, suspicious.

Not thinking anything of it, we walked into first period and from the door I saw a box sitting on my desk.

"Jess?" I said stopping at the
threshold.

"Huh?" She said.

"What's that on my desk?" I saud pointing at the box.

She looked to my desk and saw the box two, it was like our minds synced at that moment because the look she gave me mirrored the look on my face.

"You think it's from Coffee Stain?" She asked.

"Could be, but what is it?" I asked.

Just then Ty Hanson, they guy who sits in front of me walks past us and straight to his desk, completely ignoring our little dramatic scene.

"Hey Ty!" I called.

"Yeah?" Ty responded.

"What's that on my desk?" I asked pointing to the box.

He turned around and picked up the box and showing it to me and Jess as we stood at her desk looking as if there was a bomb in the box.

"Just a box of fruit snacks with a note on it, you want it?" He asked holding the box towards me.

"That's weird. I thought you didn't eat fruit snacks?" Jess said turning to me with her face scrunched up.

"I-I don't." I said.
"Does it say who it's from?" I ask Ty who was still holding the box.

He flipped the box over to read the note attached to it.
"Nope, not even initials." He said.

I was still standing at Jess' desk when Ty put the box back on my desk and the bell rang and Mr. Gefrey came rushing in with the flood of students and looked at me just standing at the desk.
