All around me were children, from the ages of six to twelve of all different shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities. Each had their heads bowed, eyes closed, and hands together or on someone else's shoulder or back. I wrapped my arms around two girls' shoulders, one on each side of me. A man came around, putting a small cross of oil on our foreheads.

It was Sunday morning.

That day, Pastor's sermon was about how Jesus love\'d the children and taught them too, even though his disciples didn't understand why at first.

Children are the future of the world and the next generation; as Christians, we need to love and treat them like Jesus did- Cherishing them and never underestimating them.

We closed our eyes and prayed over the kids. We asked God to teach and nurture them so they grow up as strong and amazing people of Him. We also prayed that God would teach us to teach them.

I, myself, also prayed for anything these kids were going through, neglect at home, bullies at school this fall, and I prayed for them to grow spiritually so they can be an example to believers. I asked Him to draw near to us.

You could feel the pure, intense love in the air. I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit among us, filling my heart once again.

Then one man raised his voice.

The piano, dram set, guitars, vocals, and other instruments suddenly stopped. All ears listened closely to the his words of another language.

His tongue was unknown to anyone on earth, but no confusion arose in the room. His palms were lightly on the foreheads of two little children.

After a few minutes, he stopped praying and translated. "It is true! What you have heard and taught is all true! I am coming again- and soon!"

I understood as we all listened as God spoke through him. "Look out! Because I am sending the Spirit of Elijah onto one of these children, just like Elisha and John the Baptist!"

My head tilted up a bit, my eyes still closed, but my pupils were side beneath my lids.

A new Elijah- here?!

The faces of all the kids of the church I knew flashed in my mind. I knew and loved each of them each of them so much, most of them were my students. It astonished me that one of these kids could possess the Spirit of Elijah.

Could I know this Elijah?

"So," he continued. "When you see that one of these children has a Spirit that is like Elijah's- be aware! Let them do that work I cal them to do- do not restrain or underestimate them! For My hand is upon them, and I am coming soon!"

The room erupted in applause. Crys of "Amen!" and "Hallelujah!" filled the air. I cried out, praising my God, unable to ccontain my joy inside.

"Woooo-Hoooo! Hallelujah!"

It was the summer before I turned fourteen.
