(Danielle's POV)
It's been a couple days since the whole argument at the house. We've all calmed down but I know there was still resentment in Junior but at least we are civil. I miss him but I can't put our relationship before the kids once again. Being together tends to mess things up for us and the kids.
The kids have been questioning many things like why is there a stranger living in the house instead of me. Of course we told them she was in a hard situation and that I had to go home because I was never home. They understood but I can still see curiosity in their eyes.
Sarah has been very great and her and Jose have been doing fine. Sure it's been a couple days but Jose really seems genuine about supporting her and his child. No they're not together necessarily but they're on stable grounds.
Today we all decided to go sit by the Potomac River and have lunch. I love living near the Potomac River, it's very peaceful and beautiful there in specific areas. We decided Jose will drive Sarah and I'll carpool with Junior in his Range Rover with the kids.
I decided it's about time to get ready so I hoped in the shower and did my routine. I grabbed my clothes which consisted of a simple Nike olive green t-shirt with black Leggings and my Sperry. I grabbed my white windbreaker just in case.
I also grabbed my iPhone and put it in my purse that had my charger, earphones, chapstick, my wallet and I brought a book in my hand just in case I got bored.
I heard a loud honk outside my house and peeked through my window to see Junior parked in the driveway. I really hope there is no tension.
I quickly grabbed my keys before I locked the door and walked over to the car, waving.
I got into the car and immediately got hit by the smell of Starbucks. "Here." He said and handed me a Carmel Ribbon Frappachino. I thanked him and greeted the kids who were sitting in their booster seat, each of them eating a cake pop and drinking their chocolate milk. "Here goes nothing." He sighed and reversed out the drive way to the street and continued to drive until we arrived.
The whole car ride was very silent besides the new, repetitive, trending music on the radio. I know he was angry, I guess he has the right. But I'd rather not go into that at the moment.
I got out my book and began to read when we came to a complete stop. I looked around and here we were, the parking lot.
We all piled out the car and went to go look for a place to sit. We found this picnic table near the water, not too close, and sat down. We sat here for a while, watching the planes leave and land in the Dulles Airport. There were many ducks that swam around and people on boats in the distance and kayaks.
The kids sat on the picnic table and continued to drink their chocolate milk, eating their second cake pop.
I heard a familiar sounding honk and knew it was Jose and Sarah. I turned around and there they were, walking around with three pizza boxes and water. Thank the lord for these two, pizza would really hit the spot.
I waved at them and they saw us immediately and walked towards us. "Hey Sarah!" I beamed as they placed the pizza boxes on the table. I gave them both a brief hug and by the time I turned around, the kids were showing the food into their mouths. I can't blame them.
I walked over and grabbed a slice for myself after they all served themselves. They have extra cheese and pepperoni and the other was Hawaiian pizza and the last one was extra cheese with cheese stuffed crust.
Now here is what I get a lot of comments by my friends and people I've met in the past, does pineapple belong on a pizza? Yes! You have you're own opinions but cmon, Pineapples!
