"Miss? Wake up. Can you hear me?" A deep voice came first, then his vision gradually started to clear. "Oh, thank God. Are you alright?" He begun as his own eyes followed the sound of your voice, looking at him in daze. You tried hard to focus and found yourself staring into the most beautiful set of brown eyes you'd ever seen. They were stunning, rich-brown with golden flecks throughout and a thickly lash. Men shouldn't have eyes that pretty, you thought irrationally, realizing a jolt that you were captured in his arms. "Slowly now. You fainted."
Your eyes crinkled at the corners at his remark as you felt his hands on your arm and behind your back, helping you to rise. Really? I hadn't noticed. I was too busy being unconsious. You bit back a sarcastic retort upon seeing a genuine concern in his eyes. He even made sure that you were standing firmly on your feet before he released you but stayed close as if he didn't quite to trust your steady gait.
He would've fainted too, in your condition.
"Thank you," You blustered, brushing off your hospital gown and averted your gaze away from him. It had only taken a moment but now, seeing him completely in your mind. Not just the eyes but his thick luscious, rusty-coffee hair, ragged at the edges. Someone who'd look like him was far from your world. "I'm so sorry, I must've cause trouble to you."
"No need to be sorry. Are you sure you're alright?" He doubted you a question.
This time, you gripped at the near bench for support. "I-I'm fine," You said, making your heart skipped a beat at the worried look you saw from his face. It had been a long time since anyone had showed their concern over you. "Thanks for your help. I'm just going to sit for a moment." You coolly dismissed him. "You need not feel obligated. I'm fine now."
"Humor me. You're still a bit pale." Solicitously, he stepped back to let you by but you were surprised to see him sitting beside you as well. "I can call a doctor right now. Is there anyone with you?"
"You don't have to," You laughed, oh you did. But a doctor couldn't cure what was wrong with you. "I'm alone at this time but my brother would check up on me after he's gone from his work." Briefly, you felt guilty from being blunt. So you faltered a paltry. "But thanks again, Mr.?"
"It's Jaebum, Im Jaebum." He responded, reaching to shook your hand. "How about yours?"
"Y/n," You plainly stated your name.
"Just Y/n?" His eyes bore deeply into you and you consciously diverted your gaze at the nurse's station.
"Yes, just Y/n."
Apparently, your condition seemed to contribute more of the light-headedness and nausea. Medications wasn't helping either and eventually, you had stop taking them.
"Jaebum, may you do me a favor?" You asked, biting your lip anxiously. "Just for a day. I know it's selfish of me butー will you go out with me?"
Jaebum didn't respond to you. He must have been swoon at your sudden request and you felt defeat. You know it's too impossible and how can you be so dumb? "Forget I've said anything," You broke off and covered the awkward moment with a slight chuckle. "I was just goofing around."
But he gave you a smile, friendly and your heart gave a foreign twist at his obvious caring and kind character. "Would that make you feel better?" He stated and it was like a lifeline to hold on. It wasn't like your life was a revolving door of a joy-killer. "I guess I wouldn't mind." No way? Is he for real? "Got any plans, love?"
