The comments rolled in, one after the other. Carrie tried her hardest not to be upset; although, once a new comment was said about her being "fake", she couldn't take it anymore. Carrie deleted the picture, throwing her phone to the side. She broke down into tears as she pulled her covers over herself.

Carrie always tried to act as if other people's opinions about herself mean nothing to her. She always told herself that they meant nothing, their opinions meant nothing; although, deep down she was hurting.

"Hey beautiful." Mike smiled, Carrie opening her front door.

"Hey." She forced a smile, the two hugging each other. "Um... Do you want to go get lunch?" She questioned, Mike almost immediately noticing something was wrong.

"I'd love to." He nodded, mentally deciding that he would wait till later to ask.

"I'm gonna go get dressed." Carrie forced a smile, before walking up the stairs and into her bedroom. The blond curled her hair in peace, thinking of Mike. As upset as she was she wasn't able to not think about him.

"Hey Carrie." Mike said, entering the bedroom smiling once he saw her standing in the bathroom.

"Hey." She forced a smile, causing him to sigh. He couldn't take it anymore.

"What's going on?" Mike questioned, standing in the door way of her bathroom. "You aren't acting like yourself." He added, wrapping both arms around her tiny waist.

"I'm okay." She lied, making sure not to look into his eyes, knowing that if she did she would start crying.

"No you aren't. Please just tell me." Mike sighed, softly rubbing her back.

"Did you see the selfie I posted?"

"Yeah, you looked beautiful." He answered with a soft smile.

"Well, there are a lot of people who seem to disagree. Someone said I looked fake, other people said I looked like a drag queen..." Carrie paused, resting her head on his chest. "I just don't know what to do. I can't win." Mike continued rubbing her back, wanting to make her feel better.

"I don't care what any of them have to say, you're the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." Mike leaned down pressing his lips against hers, catching Carrie completely off guard. "Carrie... It breaks my heart to see you so upset like this. You are so so beautiful." Mike pulled away from the kiss, looking directly into her eyes.

"What did I do wrong? What did I do for so many people to hate me?" Carrie asked, biting her lip softly.

"People are mean. That isn't your fault. Don't allow them that power to make you so upset." Mike answered, wiping the small tear away as it slid down her face. "Carrie..." He pulled her into a tight hug, immediately rubbing her back. "It's okay." Mike added.
