Carrie stared at herself in Mike's bathroom mirror, trying to look for any flaws in her make up or appearance at all.

"You look great babe, just come on." Mike stepped behind her, kissing Carrie's cheek lightly before walking out of his room and down his stairs.

Tonight was the night that Carrie would be meeting Mike's parents for the first time. Karen and Jim had planned to fly down from Canada to see Mike in the hospital; although, Mike was discharged earlier than expected.

"Mike, what if they hate me?" Carrie sighed, trudging down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"They won't, don't be so worried." Mike replied, wrapping his arms around her small waist, looking down into her eyes. "I love you, princess." He smiled widely, Carrie's frown immediately forming into a smile.

"I love you too." She pulled him down towards her, connecting their lips. "Do I look okay?" Carrie questioned, stepping back so he could see her a little better.

"You look like a goddess." Mike smiled in response, Carrie immediately blushing. "You look amazing baby, you always do." He added holding her hand, spinning her around slowly.

"I'm so glad you are okay." Carrie bit her lip, placing a hand on the side of his neck. "I didn't know what would happen to you." She added, causing Mike to pull her closer.

"I'm fine, let's just not talk about that right now, okay?" Mike said, in response, nodding her head. "Hey, cheer up." He rubbed her back. "I love you. I love you so much." Mike grinned, pressing his lips against hers, letting out a laugh, gently pushing her against the wall. "You're so beautiful." He added, softly kissing her neck, Carrie closing her eyes, biting her lip. Carrie stood on her toes, as Mike's hand gently moved onto her bottom.

"Mike," his mother cleaned her throat, causing the two to quickly pull away.

"I'm sorry." Carrie apologized, embarrassed.

"We didn't hear you come in." Mike sighed, placing his hand on her back softly. "Um, Carrie these are my parents, Karen and Jim. Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend, Carrie." Mike smiled.

"It's nice to meet you." Jim stepped forward, shaking Carrie's hand.

Carrie looked at Karen with a soft smile; although, she didn't get a smile in return. It was easily noticeable that Karen wasn't pleased.

"I am going to run to the bathroom." Carrie forced a smile, walking away from Mike and down the hallway.

"Mom, why did you do that?" Mike looked at his mother seriously.

"Mike, y'all were making out when we walked in." Karen sighed, shaking her head.

"I know what you're thinking but, she isn't that kind of girl." Mike replied, Karen looking up at him with her arms crossed.

"You two were making out when we walked through the door." Karen sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Mom, that isn't fair." Mike said, hearing Carrie walking down the hallway.

"Mike, I think I'm going to go." Carrie said quietly, afraid of what his response would be.

"Can we talk first?" He questioned, his parents walking into the living room. "What's wrong?" He placed both hands on the side of her arms.

"She hates me already. I told you she would." Carrie bit her lip.

"Baby, she doesn't hate you. I think she is just protective." Mike kissed her forehead, softly.

"I'm gonna go. I love you." Carrie stood on her toes, kissing his cheek.

"I love you too." He sighed. "Hey, I'm sorry." Mike gently grabbed her arm, stopping her from walking out of the kitchen.

"It's okay."
