"He isn't getting sick anymore, is he?" Carrie asked, driving down the highway, towards the hospital.

"No, he is awake and feeling a lot better." Ivey said, sighing once Mike began speaking to her. "He said, he doesn't want you to come. He doesn't deserve you and you deserve someone so much better." Ivey repeated, Carrie biting her lip harshly.

"Well, I don't care what he says, I am on my way." Carrie replied, hanging up before her best friend could argue with her.

She felt bad that Mike thought that. In her mind she felt the exact opposite. Even though Mike did cheat on her, she knows he was a great guy. Carrie knows that if he could take it back, he would.

"I think that's her." Ivey cut herself off, once there was a knock on the door of Mike's hospital room.

"Hi." Carrie quietly said, entering the room. It took every once of self control she had not to allow herself to rush to Mike's side, kissing his face.

"I'll give y'all some time." Ivey walked out of the room, able to feel the awkwardness between the couple.

"I didn't want you to come." Mike said, causing her to lower her head in disappointment.

"I um- I wanted to see you. I needed to see you." Carrie quietly replied, hoping he would want to talk.

"Now that you've seen me, leave." Mike said, Carrie biting her lip as hard as she could, not wanting to cry anymore.

"Mike, I know you made a mistake. I forgive you; I love you. I need you." Carrie confessed, causing him to shake his head.

"You shouldn't forgive me. You should just walk away and leave me."

"Mike-"

"You should," Mike cut off her gasp. "It wasn't a mistake. I'm glad I had sex with her because-"

"Stop! I know you're only saying that so I will be mad at you, but I'm not! Mike, I'm not going to be mad and I'm not breaking up with you." Carrie shouted her first sentence, forcing herself to calm down.

"Why? I want you to be mad at me, you should be. Carrie, you deserve someone who-," she cut him off again.

"Stop telling me what I deserve. Stop telling me I don't deserve you. I don't want to be with anyone else." Carrie bit her lip, walking over to him.

"Carrie, I hate what I did. I hate myself for cheating on you." Mike put his head in his hands, Carrie gently placing a hand on his leg.

"Stop, I love you." She leaned down, kissing his cheek softly.

"Care, I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing and just say it back."

"I love you too."
