"Hey you." Carrie smiled, entering her dressing room to see Mike sitting on the couch. "Did you like it?" She questioned, taking a seat beside him.
"Um... don't like Sam." Mike shrugged his shoulders.
"Why not?"
"The way he looks at you pisses me off." Mike looked over at her, wanting so badly to pull her into a kiss. "His noes is a little big too. He kept getting close to you and it was just annoying." Mike confessed.
"Awe Mike... you're jealous?" Carrie questioned, turning to face him. "Why are you jealous?" She bit her lip softly.
"Because, I don't want you with anyone else... I want you with me." He confessed, scratching the back of his head.
"Awe." Carrie thought to herself, unable to hold in her smile. "Mike. I don't like him." She replied.
"It looked like you did." His feelings were hurt. Mike always loved to hear Carrie sing but that time, he didn't. He wished that he never watched. The way Sam and Carrie looked at each other made it look as if they were together and he didn't like that.
"Mike." She sighed, watching him stand from the couch.
"I think I'm just gonna head home." He said, completely disappointed at how the night seemed to be playing out. "Bye." Mike quietly said before walking out of the dressing room.
Carrie felt horrible. Never has she seen Mike act that way, act so upset and hurt. It hurt her heart to see him acting this way, because of her. It hurt that she caused him to feel that bad, for a person who was always happy.
The rest of the night for Carrie was a drag. All she wanted was to talk to Mike, whether it was on the phone or in person it didn't matter to her.
"Are you going to the after party?" Sam asked, Carrie running her fingers through her hair.
"No. I'm just gonna go home." She sighed, causing him to frown.
"Can I talk to you?" He questioned with a small smile. "I was just wanting to ask if you might want to go out to dinner tomorow, or maybe lunch." He smiled, causing her to bite her lip. Mike was right.
"I'm sorry, I am kinda with someone." Carrie said, causing him to lower his head in disappointment.
"Well... If he really cared, he would be here."
"Actually, he was here." She walked away infuriated with Sam.
She decided to go home and change then go over to Mike's house. She didn't want to ruin things. Carrie liked him, she liked him a lot and truthfully she wanted to be with him. She never thought she would be one of those woman to need a man in her life to be happy, but she does, she needs him.
After changing out of her dress and into a pair of jeans and a sweat shirt, she quickly left her house, heading straight for Mike's.
"Hey." Carrie smiled, Mike opening the front door.
"Oh, hey." He replied, surprised to see her standing on his front porch.
"I'm sorry. You were right, he does like me. I don't care... you're the only one I want." She lowered her head, unsure of what his reaction would be. "It was just a performance... I never intended for it to look any different." Carrie added.
"Look at me...", Mike said lifting her chin with his finger. Her eyes met his, Mike leaned down kissing her lips softly. Her heart seemed to flutter as he wrapped his arms around her waist. They had kissed before; although, it wasn't anything like this. "Call me selfish but, I want you all to myself." He whispered, before they kissed again.
"You've got me." Carrie replied, looking up into his eyes.
"Really? Will you be my girlfriend?" Mike held her hand, pulling her inside.
"I guess." She shrugged her shoulders, before letting out a laugh. "I am kidding. Of course." Carrie smiled, biting her lip as she stood on her toes.
