"Even if you don't want to talk to him, I need to check on him. I shouldn't have left him here drinking." Ivey sighed, getting out of her car. Carrie sat there in shock, as Ivey entered his house.
"Mike...", she gasped, rushing to his side, him lying on the couch, unconscious. "Mike, wake up." She said, pulling out her phone.
Carrie expected Ivey to just go and make sure Mike was okay. She didn't expect to be speeding down the highway, unsure if she would ever see him alive again. Unsure whether or not she would ever kiss him again or if she would be pulled into his muscular arms, that always seemed to comfort her.
"Will he be okay?" Carrie asked, looking up at the male doctor seriously.
"Right now, he is in ICU. He's pretty sick right now and we're getting some fluids into him." He explained, causing Carrie to turn away biting her lip. "Were doing some test on his liver right now, trying to make sure he won't go into liver failure." He added.
"If he does... will he die?"
"We're doing our best now. I believe after he is done vomiting he will want to rest." He answered, Carrie walking away from him for good, unsure whether or not she could listen to anymore.
"Care, he is going to be fine." Ivey said, walking over towards Carrie.
"I'm scared; I am just so scared." She cried, hugging Ivey tightly. "I want to see him because I need to know he's okay, but, the thought of him kissing another woman breaks my heart. Knowing he has had sex with another woman kills me inside." Carrie explained, causing Ivey to nod.
"Look at me, Carrie you know Mike loves you. I understand that you're hurting, but if you love Mike that much and if you want to be with him that much, you need to forgive him. You need to ask God to help you forgive him." Ivey said, looking at Carrie seriously. "Care, go home, get some rest. I'll call you if anything happens, I promise." Ivey added, causing Carrie to take a deep breath, nodding her head.
"Alright, thank you." Carrie wiped her face, before hugging her best friend, then walking away.
