"Mike, it's Ivey. Open the door." Ivey knocked on the front door of Mike's house, eager to see him and know that he's okay.
"What do you want?" Mike struggled to say, once he opened the door.
"How many have you had?" Ivey pushed past him, looking around at the scattered beer bottles and an empty bottle of tequila. "Mike, stop!" She shouted, trying to pry the beer bottle from his mouth.
"Ah, lucky number twelve." Mike laughed, stumbling to his living room couch. "Why does it matter to you?" He asked, opening another.
"Because you're my friend and you're not suppose to be drinking-"
"Who gives a flying fuck? I've screwed everything else up already." Mike raised his voice, causing Ivey to jump, him starting to down the bottle.
"Mike-"
"Just leave me the hell alone! No one asked you to come here!" Mike yelled, Ivey shaking her head, walking towards the door.
"Sorry for trying to help. I hope you get your shit together, because Carrie wouldn't date a piece of shit anyway." Ivey replied, slamming the front door once she walked out. She didn't know what to do. Ivey knew that Mike shouldn't be alone right now; although, neither did Carrie. She wished Mark was there to help her; unfortunately, he was gone on a trip.
Ivey entered Carrie's house, expecting to see her best friend laying on the couch in tears; although, she wasn't.
"Carrie, where are you?" Ivey walked up the stairs. "What are you doing?" Carrie was putting on a pair of jeans.
"Going to meet her." Carrie replied, obviously holding back tears.
"Carrie, it wasn't an ongoing thing. He was drunk. Don't go looking for her." Ivey sighed, causing Carrie to stop what she was doing.
"How do you-"
"He told me. Carrie, just stay. You don't want to know everything." Ivey said, stopping Carrie from curling her hair.
"Ivey, yes I do. I need to know every detail. I need to know why he would do this to me." She broke down in tears once again. Ivey pulled Carrie into a hug, the small blond beginning to cry on her best friends shoulder.
"Carrie, it's okay. It's going to be okay." Ivey rubbed her back softly.
"No it's not, because I need him. Ivey, I need to be with him." Carrie said, trying to contain herself.
"Then forgive him. Care, you know he loves you and that he would never purposely hurt you." Ivey said, looking at Carrie seriously.
"I don't know if I can." Carrie replied, wiping her eyes.
