Peeta's P.O.V.

Katniss is obviously very close with her cousin, I mean he freaking followed her to Europe. To be on Katniss good side I have to make Clay a friend. Or at least be nice to him.

I think we're off to a good start, we're both currently watching Finnick with a disgusted look.

Exactly why Finnick is dating Alexandra is beyond my knowledge. He's madly in love with Annie so I don't know what he is doing right now. He's such a jerk. He cried for a week after Annie transferred school, I haven't told anyone that because I knew that he would totally kill me if I did, and I did feel sorry for him. I don't feel sorry for him anymore. Now he's such a pig.

Clay is still standing here, left by the girls, looking at Finnick with a murderous look. I think he's pretty close with Annie. Finnick saw it too, that's why he was so grumpy at first, not that he has the right to be jealous, because he has no right whatsoever.

"Um so... Peeta is it?" Clay asks.

I nod.

"Yup", I say. "And you can spare me the pita bread jokes, had a lot of them".

"I didn't even think of that until just now when you said it", Clay chuckles.

Oh damn.

"Hm well fuck", I say feeling stupid as hell.

"Don't worry, you're not the only one with a name to make fun of", he says. "You still haven't noticed that my name is Clay, clay, as in well clay". I actually hadn't put that together. I guess I've been thinking how my name is the only one to be compared with something else. "I've had my fair share to so don't worry".

I nod. But then I hear sloppy sounds coming from Finn and Alexandra.

"Give it up already!" I say and pull Finnick away from the blond bimbo.

I'm not usually the one to call girls mean stuff but Alexandra went to our high school. Her reputation was not and is still not good. Everyone knows that she's slept around and I think she still is. Finnick knows it, so I don't know what the hell he is doing.

"Dude", Finn says when I pull him off.

"Enough Finn", I say irritated. I look at Alexandra who I now see is eyeing Clay, he's looking at her in disgust. Katniss said he has a girlfriend. I don't think that's why he looks at her like that though, she was just kissing someone else and now she's looking at him like that. "You can leave us now".

She scoffs at me. She's never liked me. I think that I'm the only guy in Panem she hasn't fucked and I'm so happy for that. Alexandra leaves and waddle her ass as she walks away.

"Why?" Clay asks looking at Finnick. "Why don't you pick a better girl?"

I look at Clay suspiciously. I think he's holding something back.

"What?" Finnick asks.

"Well I mean, I don't really know you and I only went to your high school for a short while before we moved away, but you never struck me as these bad guys, that's why I always kept wondering why you'd do everything Peeta's sister said. I mean I know it wasn't her ideas entirely, I know she's not that smart, your cousin is, but still she's evil and..."
