Chapter 5: Talking

Chapter 5

Katniss P.O.V.

"First day with classes!" Madge shouts and jumps up in my bed. She jumps up and down sitting on her knees. "Get up get up get up!"

"Maaaaadge", I groan. "You're acting like a little kid!"

"I don't care! Let me see your schedule!" She says.

I groan and reach to pick up my schedule from the floor. I left it there last night before falling asleep.

She snatch it out of my hands and look through it.

"Hmm you've got all your classes with us, except archery and gymnastics", she says.

"I've got gymnastics", Annie announce from her bed. "I think I've got swimming when Kat has archery".

"Yeah that's when I have got axe throwing", Johanna says.

"Madge and I have got ballet", Delly says.

"Cool! Katniss has music as well", Madge says.

"Well of course", I say and sit up in bed. "Clay too, but he mostly picked it to hear me sing, he loves hearing me sing".

"I've heard that Peeta and the boys are also in music class", Annie says.

She's bummed about what happened yesterday. But I'm determined about making my plan come true. I still haven't told them about my plan, they just know that Annie is going to make Finnick jealous in the near future.

Fuck. I'm gonna have music with Peeta. I wonder how it went for Clay with Peeta and Finnick yesterday. I didn't hear anything from him at all yesterday. I'm gonna have to ask him today when I see him in music class. It's actually the first class of the day.

I don't feel like seeing Peeta. Because I don't feel like talking to him. Maybe I will have to and I really don't want to. I mean what am I suppose to say? 'Sorry that you got beat up but I still don't trust you?' I can't say that, he got put in the hospital for crying out loud.

I step out of the bed and stretch. I do not look forward to music class anymore. Last night I was so excited. Now I just feel like not going at all.

"It's going to be fine", Madge says.

"Yes Annie, it's going to be fine", I say.

She smiles at me.

"Madge was actually talking to you", she says, and I frown. "You look like you want to puke".

"Let's just get ready", I say and shake my head before heading to the bathroom.

Today I decided to wear my mint green summer dress and mint green pumps. I love how the dress flutters around my thighs when I walk. And I love the color, it's so delicate.

When we arrive to the music classroom, I feel like fainting. In front of me, are Clay, Peeta and Finnick, they're laughing. What the fuck just happened? What? They work out together one time and suddenly they're best buds?

What's wrong with the world? Nothing is making sense to me anymore.

"Hey Katniss!" Clay says and runs up to me. He carries me up and spins me around one short time. "How's my beautiful baby cousin doing?"
