Chapter 9: Truth

Chapter 9

Katniss P.O.V.

"Finnick is coming", I whisper and Annie throws her hands around Jeremy's neck and gives him a hard and passionate kiss.

Over the past few weeks Annie and Jeremy has become closer and closer. He comforts her when she's crying over Finnick, and she cares for him. Jeremy actually told Annie his secret. As soon as he told her she ran to me and Jass and wanted to talk about it since we are the only once who knows Jeremy's secret.

Finnick wasn't the only one coming though, the other boys came as well.

We're out on campus. It's sunny and really hot outside, so no one are wearing a lot of clothes. I'm wearing a pair of yellow short shorts and a sky blue crop top.

Jeremy starts tickling Annie and she starts laughing.

"Jeremy stop", she giggles and starts to hit his chest with her small fists.

"I don't think so", he says and tickles her even more.

Annie stops acting and actually starts laughing for real. She's actually really ticklish. It looks so damn real because it is real and Finnick looks like he wants to die or something.

I laugh to myself.

A blonde comes running towards us now though. Or towards Finnick.

Alexandra.

This is just too good. The girl Finnick wants to date and the one he actually dates but doesn't really like. Yep Clay told me after making me swear to not say anything to Annie. I really want to tell her but I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna betray Clays trust.

"Finnick baby", Alexandra says, taking Finnicks head between her hands, placing a sloppy kiss on his lips.

Annie is just staying in Jeremy's arms looking at them. She's leaning against his front with her back and he's hugging her comfortably. He's talking to her, I think he's trying to comfort her and calm her down.

She leans her head against his chest and he put a hand at the back of her head.

Finnick pulls away from Alexandra.

"Gees Alexandra there are people here", he says.

"Never stopped you before", Peeta mutters disliking and Finnick looks hurt at his best friend.

Clay told me that Peeta and Finnick are like brothers. They've always got each others backs but when it comes about this, Peeta dies for not having Finnicks back. Peeta is against this.

Maybe I would feel sorry for Finnick if he hadn't been such an asshole. I mean if he likes Annie why date Alexandra? It's not like he wins by doing that, he loses.

"Peeta Peeta, no need to be jealous", Alexandra says. "Your perfect girl will come along".

I can tell that Peeta is about to explode in anger.

"You..."

"Alexandra how does it feel to have your face down Finnicks ass all the time?" I ask. "You keep sucking up to him, girl go get yourself some dignity".

She looks at me like she wants nothing more but to strangle me right now. Peeta though, looks really grateful. Like I stopped him from saying something really bad.

I just give him a quick nod with a small smile. He smiles back at me and I feel a sudden warmth in my body. I know what that is and I don't like it one but. Not one bit. I hate it. But I can't stop it.

"Come on Finnick", Alexandra says and starts dragging Finnick away with her.

He gives Peeta and apologetic look before looking away and walk with his arm around Alexandras waist.
