Wondering why

Part 17

Saturday morning I went for a run, I was faster. I'm not sure whether it was the training or that I was getting completely lost in my thoughts but I ran much faster today. I stayed with Cory last night we watched shitty TV reruns and I only left when Stella came to give him company.

I breathe in the crisp morning air. Everyone is starting their Saturday morning. Usually I only like to run early in the morning so that nobody sees me but I needed the extra sleep today. I run past Meryl's house and admire her gorgeous shed. Once I get home I have to hurry into the shower.

I rush out of the bathroom in a towel and past Kyle and some girl he is taking into his room. I will need to follow that up when I am not naked.

I quickly throw on an outfit and try to dry my hair as best I can in the time I have, then scurry downstairs and into the car. Lucy drops me off at my gorgeous driving instructor for my lesson.

We get into the car and I begin driving, "Ok turn left onto the road." Ah he's taking me on the road. I am going to kill us both. "You're doing really well, have you been practicing?" you have no idea, Sebastián. I don't think he would be very happy to hear about Tracy and my adventure on the road, I'm not sure that he would approve. I drive around town on quiet streets, with my full attention on them. When we finish Sebastián gets me to Parallel Park the car in the furthest spot from the building. We walk back over making small talk. "So are you doing anything interesting tonight, for Halloween?"

"Um not really just a party." I say, "You?"

"Nope, I will just be sat at home watching horror movies."

"Well if you get bored you can always come to the party." I say joking.

"Maybe I will." I didn't expect him to say yes. How can someone like him not have a girlfriend he has to see, or loads of friends that are having a party or something? He is the ultimate definition of a god. I give him the details just in case and head home.

A few hours later Tracy shows up at the house with her costume and we begin to get ready. It takes us hours, but it's worth it. Tracy looks amazing. I was slightly surprised when she chose the costume in the shop but she is pulling it off. I however look a lot plainer.

We see Joel, Blake and Lucas hanging around outside but they purposely avoid us so that we can't see what they're wearing. From what I've heard all of the sports teams have coordinated themselves.

Tracy is forced to drive us there, as our designated driver was going to be Stella but she decided to stay in with Cory, which made me feel really guilty for going and leaving them both behind, but I think Tracy would rip off my limbs if I backed out now.

"So is there any particular guy we are looking out for?" Tracy asks as we pull up about a block away. We walk to the house because all of the streets are packed full of cars. We turn up when everyone is arriving and the party is only just starting. As we walk in everyone has their eyes on Tracy. I'm not surprised though. From her blue hair, down to her knee high socks.

She definitely stood out as Katy Perry from California gurls. She had an electric blue wig on, a candy covered dress, knee high socks with bows and six-inch-high heels on. I look so plain and boring next to her. I came as a ninja. I have a black jumpsuit on with a red scarf around my waist, and matching red lipstick. The outfit also came with a face scarf, but I ditched it.

"I'm going to go get us something to drink." She says before stepping into the crowd. I spot Connor and Kathrine. Connor is a t-bird from Grease and Kathrine is a pink lady. I get it now, all of the football team are t-birds, and the cheerleaders are pink lady's. Plus, because Lucas is the captain of the football team he is Danny and Courtney is the captain of the cheerleading squad so she is Sandy. It's so organised, the basketball team all came as smurfs, the baseball team as the Incredibles, the volleyball team as pirates and the soccer teams as minions. I can't believe that Adeline didn't organise the track or athletics teams a theme.
