Damien, Lucy and I spent the rest the weekend painting my bedroom, we did three of the walls white and the one that my bed was leaning against was turquoise. I pretty much left the decorating to Lucy because she was so excited, she'd always wanted to do a girls bedroom. And in two days it was beautiful, her theme was blue and white, she was hoping to finish it while we were at school. It was a nice change from my old bedroom which was a mix match of stuff, it was cluttered and the complete opposite of my new one.

Today is my first day at my new school, I got up two hours early, and I wanted to look my best. When I was slipping my shoes I heard Joel and Kyle fighting next door. My room is next to Joel's so I knew that they were in there. "Dude, you can't just leave her".

"I won't"

"I mean it. Tell you fan-girls to piss off. She's been through a lot."

"Don't you think I know that? This is Holly, and I care about her just as much as you do so don't lecture me about taking care of her." Then I heard a door slam.

They'd been talking about me. Do they really think that I'm that weak? I don't need taking care of. I'm not a baby that needs a babysitter. My train of thought was interrupted by a knock on the door, and Kyle entered in his cartoon pyjamas- a sixteen-year-old boy. Not that I can judge because I have tendency to go back to mine. "Uh hi".

He looks awful. His skin is pasty and paler than usual. "Hey". I stare at him expectedly, "oh sorry, have a good first day. And stick with Joel, he will get you around".

This conversation just turned very awkward "Um thanks, I hope you feel better". He smiles and turns on his heel to leave. I take one last look at myself in the mirror and decide that I am ready to go.

The car journey with Joel was slightly better; he updated me with everything I needed to know to survive the day. He pulled his car up outside the school in probably the best space in the parking lot and hopped out of the car. I too climbed out of the car and took in the building. It was no bigger than my old one but it was so much scarier. God only knows what could kill me in there. It was a large brick building, with a stretch of grass joining each area of the school together. "Ready?" Joel asks pulling me from my thoughts.

I smile and nod my head. "Ready". I can do this. It can't be that bad, I tell myself.

We head toward the front doors of the school "Ok, so we have to get you to the front office to get your timetable" he says as a group of girls ambush us.

A cute looking red head jumps in front of Joel. "Why didn't you pick me up this morning?" she pouts.

Joel rubs his neck looking uncomfortable, but the moment passes and the girls are chatting again. They have formed a circle around him which I have now been pushed out of. The fan girls I'm guessing. It's kind of gross how they are doing whatever's possible to touch him and get his attention.

"Uh Joel, I'm gonna find my own way to the front office" I say just loud enough for you to hear over the obsessed girls. And carried on going towards the school.

I can feel the girl's glares as I walk away, "No. Holly, wait" I hear Joel shout but I don't stop. I don't want to make those girls my enemies; they look brutal. And surely it can't be that hard to find this office.

I wander around the busy hallways for five minutes in hope that I will stumble across this front office, but I don't. I stop to ask this boy leaning against a set of lockers looking at his phone. He has dark hair, a defined jawline and looks like he's had a spray tan. "Excuse me," He doesn't look up, "uh could you point me towards the front office?" I ask. He lifts his hand up and points in the vague direction of stairs, but still doesn't look up. "Thank you". I smile not that he sees it, there is something much more interesting on his phone.
