Game On

Bens pov:

I was out and about doing some alpha business because my dad wanted to teach me the ropes of the whole taking over the pack and not pummelling it to the ground in the process.  I was currently teaching the 12-15 year olds how to train.  To bulk up for the future.  We were doing some stretches and getting ready for our jog around the pack house 20 times.  They are not ready for the border run yet not till they are 16 or one moth away from turning 16.  That's when we start the challenge for them.

All of the instructors took shifts so right now I'm switching with Colin because I've been at it for about an hour and my mom mind-linked me that we had a special guest waiting at home, and plus  it's supper time....I want to stay on my mothers good side so I have to obey. I wonder who our guest is? I've overheard my parents on the phone with a male talking about this person who is going to be staying with us for two weeks or one week that part I zoned out on.  Colin ran up to me, did our special hand shake, handed me a water bottle and patted me on the back signalling that my time is up and I can go.

I threw on some sweats, chugged down my water bottle and jogged towards my house it wasn't that far away, just all the way on the other side of town because my home is in the middle of our pack lands.  Right smack in the middle.  My dad did that on purpose to even everything out. He is beyond happy about the hardware store being only a block away not even.  He does all the building in the house and he loves it.  I like the bike parts I find in the local dump,  I sometimes find old cars and motorcycles even.  I fix them up and I've been clearing out the area making space for a car shop where I can sell all of the parts.  I waved to the man who runs the gate as he opened them up for me.  I sprinted up the stairs and stopped when I opened the door.

"MOM IM HOME!"

"THATS NICE BEN, NOW GO GET SHOWERED AND DRESSED WE HAVE A GUEST!"

She yelled that from the kitchen,

"SUPPERS READY IN 30 MIN BOYS!"

I heard Coke and Jace yell 'ok' from the games room and Rain yell the same thing.  I skipped steps as I ran up the staircase and jogged towards my room, to see the white door to our guest room slightly open.  I peaked inside as I saw the back of a brown haired girl in a Miami Heat snap back, a baseball tee,  roots sweatpants that hugged around the ankles and some adidas socks to end it.  She turned her head slightly but I leaped into my room and closed the door before she saw me.  I grabbed one of my towels and went into my joined bathroom to take a shower.  Once I was done I walked into my closet, grabbed some Calvin Klein boxer briefs, slipped them on, grabbed my black jeans, a white t-shirt, my favourite navy blue button up from American eagle, and some adidas socks as well.  I ran my hand through my long locks as my mom yelled that suppers ready.  I didn't hear her at first because all I heard was someone falling outside my door and my brothers being idiots.  I ran my hand through my hair one more time before opening the door and running down, cause I was hungry... Like I can eat a horse hungry.  The table was full, my parents, rain, Jace and Cole were all sitting down but two plates were set on the buffet for me and our mystery guest.  I sat down and served myself, we were eating rice, Cesar salad and chicken breast. Yes! My favourite.  The stool next to me shifted and I looked over to see who it was.... "Clara?"

She looked over and smiled "hi Ben howz'it going?"

"Good, are you the mystery guest that my parents have been talking about for the past few days?"

" I think so, it's so nice of your mom to let me stay here while my parents go off in some sort of business trip with the neighbouring packs, something about 'a disturbance in one of their peace treaties'. 

"Oh cool, which packs?"

" I think the red moon and the dark shadow pack, the ones all the way in Alberta"

I nodded while continuing to enjoy my meal, we sat in a comfortable silence for the rest of our supper.  I was done so I waited for her to finish.  The moment she was done eating i got up and cleared my plate and put it in the dishwasher when I turned around I bumped into Clara, she was about to fall but I snaked my arm around her waist, and caught the plate in the other with her cup and forks still balancing onto it.  I felt like a ninja but that was short lived,  the cup rolled off and the forks daggerd into the ground ending my awesomeness.  Clara unraveled herself from my hold and crouched down to grab the fork and the cup.  I put her plate in the dishwasher and tried to take the fork and cup from her but she dogged me.

" I can do it"

I got out of the way as she put the fork and cup in and closed the dishwasher starting it. 

" I'm kinda tired right now so I think I'll head up to bed, tell your mom that the supper was delicious and thank you for letting me stay here."

I nodded as she walked out of the kitchen and I could hear her feet sprint up the stairs.  I washed my hands told my mom that Clara said thanks and ran upstairs to my room, where my comfy pyjamas and my bed were silently calling me.  I got in and shut the door, put on some basket ball shorts and left my shirt off leaving my eight pack on display.  I left the door open to see Clara in her pyjamas sitting on her queen sized bed, the beds in the two rooms were right in front of each other so you can see them perfectly from the other room. I picked up my plastic basket ball and chucked it at Clara's reading stance, she caught the ball instantly with out looking up.  Took off her reading glasses, closed her book and placed it on her side table.  She looked at me challengingly with a perfectly arched eyebrow.

'Game on' she mouthed
