Chapter 15: Death and More Death

*one week later*

"Jack come on, it's a full moon in a few days and I want to be prepared!" I moaned pulling on Jacks arm.

"By surfing?" Jack laughed. "Fine, you go on down and I'll get ready and meet you down there in about ten minutes."

"Thanks Jack!" I smiled then grabbed 'Charlotte' the board and ran out of the apartment.

I ran down to the beach excited to surf but then I saw there was no waves, a couple of the regular surfer boys were there too looking bummed.

"Sorry Tor, no big enough waves today." Chase told me.

I pretended to be sad when I was really doing a spell to make the waves come in. I looked out at the water and saw giant waves coming into the shore.

"Hey hey hey, the waves must of knew Tor was coming." Danny laughed.

"Well what are you all doing just standing here, I'm gonna get me some waves." I smirked then ran towards the water.

I jumped into the water and started paddling out on my surfboard. The waves were harsh and rough, maybe I made them too strong. I looked behind me and saw none of the guys wanted to faces the waves but then I saw the red caution sign for surfers not to go out in the water.

"Tori get back here!" I heard Corey yell from his lifeguard post.

I didn't listen to him, I kept swimming with my boards, taking on the waves until I saw this giant wave coming towards me. I could hear the guys shouting but I ignored then and swan into the wave. It was the biggest wave I've ever seen. I got ready and stood up on the board but then I saw, or I thought I saw Masons face in the water. I slipped back and fell of my board as the wave hit me. Then I passed out.

"Is she alive?"

"She's not moving, someone call an ambulance!"

I could hear voices around me but my eyes wouldn't open. I managed to opened my eyes but I only saw whiteness.

"You've gone and did it now Tori."

I spun around and saw Mason standing in front of me. How was he here? Where am I? Am I dead? I'm dead.

"I'm dead aren't I?" I asked him.

"Yes but not if you don't want to be, you've bet death before, you can do it again or you can stay here, with me." Mason told me.

"I can really stay with you?" I asked him.

"If you want but you shouldn't." He told me. "You need to go back Tori, to mystic Falls, trust me, you're safer there. You don't want to be dead and beside you'll still be able to see me whenever you want, it's part of the perks of being dead temporally, you get to see the dead whenever you want."

"So I can talk to you whenever I want?" I asked him.

"Yes, I told you I'd always be there for you." He smiled at me.

"But what if I want to stay with you for good?" I asked him.

"You can't Tori, I'm not having you die. Tyler needs you, he's lost everyone and he can't lose you." Mason sighed.

"I've lost everyone! The person I love the most is dead!" I cried.

Mason walked closer to me and hugged me as I cried. I hugged him back, I could feel him like he was alive, it felt real.

"I can feel you." I stuttered.

This was all I wanted, to be able to hug him again, to stay with him, dead or alive.
