Bleep bleep bleep
I ignored my phone, again and threw it on the passengers chair of my car. I continued driving into the small country town that was miles away from Mystic Falls. I needed to clear my mind so I was going to visit my grandparents in the country, the grandparents I haven't seen in years but I knew that was the one place I could go.
I pulled my new car that I was in love with up the drive and got out. I stood on the porch of the typical southern country house and rang the door bell. Both my grandparents Molly and Ben answered the door and I smiled. I didn't know if they would recognise me.
"Hello" Grams smiled at me.
"Hi grams." I smiled through blurred watery vision.
They looked so surprised then it turned to pure happiness.
"Charlotte?" Grandpa asked and I nodded.
They were the only people I let call me Charlotte because they loved me as Charlotte as who I was no mater what name.
My grams held her arms open and I ran into them hugging her tightly. Then I hugged my grandpa too.
"You look so beautiful Charlotte." Grams told me.
"We missed you so much little lion." Grandpa told me.
"Come come, I just made some cookies." My grams said taking my hand and leading me to the kitchen.
I was so happy now as I sat down at the kitchen table with my grandparents and a plate of fresh warm cookies in front of me. I could eat a whole plate of them. I loved my grandparents so much, I wonder if they knew about werewolves and witches, it would really help if they did.
"Don't be shy, they're your favourite." Grams noticed me staring at the cookies.
I didn't hold back. I reached for the cookies and stuffed my face. Then my grams took my hands in hers to get my attention. It felt weird though, my grams was looking me in the eyes but something wasn't right, she was doing something so I snapped my hands away from her.
"Don't be afraid." Grams told me calmly then turned to Grandpa. "I'm afraid her fate has come true Ben, our granddaughter is a werewolf."
How did she know that? Was my grandmother a witch, she couldn't be, I would know if she was one.
"What are you?" I asked her.
"I'm not what you think Charlotte, I'm clairvoyant, I only feel and see things, I'm not a witch like you are. You're grandpa here is a werewolf too." She explained.
"I don't believe this." I said. "This is unbelievable, I have so many questions."
"All in due time Charlotte but as for now, you're staying with us for a few days now go unpack that bag you have in the car." Grams smiled and I laughed.
I did what she said and went out to my car, got my bag and brought it into the spare room that I would sleep in. I'm glad I'm staying here, I needed to be away from Damon and everyone else.
As I walked down the stairs, I passed the library. The door was half open so I opened it fully and walked in. I've been in the library before but it's only now that I'm actually paying attention to them. I walked over and started searching through the books. There was grimwars here and so many magic books and supernatural books.
I spotted one grimwar that caught my eye, it was very old and had 'Sarah-Jayne Lockwood' wrote across it. Who did this belong to, was there more witches in my family.
"So I see you've found your ancestors grimwar?" My grams surprised me and I jumped. "You should sit done Charlotte, it's time I told you the truth."
