Chapter 8: Protection

I tossed and turned in my bed checking my phone every two seconds to see if Damon would call or text me but he never. I stayed in bed all day yesterday and planned on doing the same thing today but then I remembered Carol was making me go to some charity picnic thing. Maybe I'd see Damon today and talk to him.

I got out of bed and took a shower. After I changed into a pair of shorts and a white top with a red see through blouse over it, I left my hair down, grabbed my things and left my room. I was going to walk down the stairs but stopped when I saw Mason talking to Tyler. I crouched down so they couldn't see me.

"Tyler if you find the moonstone, tell me." Mason told Tyler.

The moonstone? Mason was after the moonstone that Katherine wanted. I remembered them talking about it once saying that Katherine needed it for the sun and the moon curse so I did some research on it and it was bad. Tyler shouldn't give Mason it if Katherine wants it.

"Why do you want it so much?" Tyler asked Mason.

"I told you, it's sentimental. I'm going, tell Tori I'll meet her there." Mason said then left.

When Mason left I saw Tyler pull the moonstone out of his pocket. I smirked then walked down to him.

"Caught red handed." I smirked at Tyler jumped then turned around to me.

"You're not going to tell him are you?" Tyler asked me.

"That's the last thing I'm going to do. Here's the thing Ty, you can't give Mason that moonstone." I told him.

"You know something about this don't you?" He asked me showing me the moonstone.

"I know a lot about this." I smirked taking the moonstone. "It's used to break the sun and the moon curse, a friend of Masons wants it."

"So can I trust him?" Tyler asked me.

"No, no you can't." I sighed.

"He didn't come back for me did he?" Tyler sighed.

"I thought he did but now, no. Just don't give him that whatever you do." I told him then walked towards the door.

"He told me about the werewolf curse." Tyler stopped me. "I know you know too, he told me that's why you gave Matt your magic. What if we kill someone Tori?"

I turned back to him and saw the sadness in his eyes. Tyler was scared, I wasn't. If it was going to happen us then there's nothing we can do about it. I don't want to be one but I'll live with it but Tyler, I don't think he can. I walked over to hand just hugged him because that's what he needed.

"You're going to be fine Tyler, I'll make sure of it even if you turn." I told him

"Thanks Tori." Tyler sighed.

"Ok I'll see you when I get back ok?" I clarified.

"Yeah." He smiled.

"Ok, Carol I'm ready!" I yelled round the house.

Carol came out then we both went outside and she drove.

"So do you like your room?" Carol asked me.

"Yeah, thanks." I smiled.

"I'm so happy you decided to come today." Carol smiled. "Liz will be happy to see you again."

"Carol what do you think of Damon Salvatore?" I asked her, changing the subjects.

"Damon." She smiled. "Damon is very very nice. He's been great help in the council especially since your father died."
