Yukine x reader oneshots!!! (Discontinued, but completed)

Useless...

Again I wrote this before as an unfinished draft, tell me what you think!

The last chapter was a part two and pretty short. So here's the second update of the day!

You walked through the streets and arrived at a stair railing. Walking down you looked around searching for a certain someone~

Earlier that day, you woke up with a note taped onto your forehead, 'How sweet...' You thought sarcastically as your read the note.

Dear (Y/n),
                     You're probably wondering why I taped this to your head... Well, for one you wouldn't have seen it. But now I'll explain, we think you should rest for the rest of the day, don't worry. Yukine and I got these jobs! You just stay there and relax!

You sighed as this was the one millionth time he 'let you relax'

You didn't need to, why would you? All you wanted to do was help in any way possible... But every time you do, your clumsiness doesn't help.

Last time was when Yato was fighting a phantom, you were supposed to be there to turn into (weapon form). But... You ended up tripping over a crack on the side walk and fell down the hill. Point is, that before Yato could call your name, he couldn't find you. And Yukine wasn't present at the moment. Yato ended up getting blighted as he ran for his life. You on the other hand, were injured you scraped your knee and landed on your back at the bottom of the hill, your hair had small twigs and pieces of grass. Dirt on your shirt and (pants/ skirt)...

That's what happened recently, the other times were worst. But you still try your best to offer to the others if they needed help.

Now, you were waiting near the stair railing for Yato, you heard from Hiyori that he had a job near here. You were determined that this time you could help, you would show up and help them finish their job quicker! You smiled at your plan and waited patiently leaning against the railing.

You hummed and looked around, 'He should be here...' You thought. Suddenly, as you stepped to the side a little, there was a piece of gum in the floor. You noticed the stickiness in the bottom of your shoe as you lifted your leg. The gum stretched attaching a thin string of gum from the ground to your shoe, "Eww..." You made a disturbed face. You tried to rub your shoe onto the concrete but it didn't work. "Ugh... Stupid gum-" you were cut off by a feeling of lack of support. You reached out to grab the railing to be able to take the gum off but you didn't reach it. You panicked and shrieked as you felt gravity pull you down.

'Another day to cry, another day to fall, another day being useless...' You sighed mentally waiting for the pain to strike. Then you feel an impact, you hit something. It's not the ground, and your legs are dangling, you feel someone's arms under your legs and on your back.

You haven't noticed that you instinctively closed your eyes, "Are you okay?! (Y/n)?" A familiar voice spoke. You opened your eyes slowly looking up at the blonde's golden orange eyes. You left your mouth gaped after that, he was looking at you with concern.

You were blushing at how close he was, and not to mention he had saved you. "Y-Yukine?!" You blurted out, but that's all you could say. Your wide eyes didn't leave eye contact with his, he started blushing and was the first looked away, "Y-you should be more careful..."

"Y-yeah... Um thanks for saving me..."

"Anytime!" He rubbed the back of his head. Then you could see Yato running from far behind Yukine to where you two were.

"(Y/n)! You were supposed to stay!" He yells.

"But I wanted to help!" You whine.

Yukine rolls his eyes and grabs your wrist. "Yato's right! We should go! I'll take you back!" He drags you away.

Yato nods approvingly and watches at you both leave.

You huff in annoyance, "Why won't you let me help?"

Yukine smirked at you, "Don't worry, you'll be a BIG help."

You blinked in confusion, then you heard Yato scream in pain from afar.

"Time to run!" He laughed pulling you along! You followed his lead, but still felt lost.

"Y-yukine! What's going on?!"

"I lied, why else would Yato yell in pain?!"

You and Yukine were still running until you both stopped around the corner of an alley.

Taking in deep breaths, you silently questioned his motives. "I needed some time alone with you." He started off while checking for Yato.

You blushed a bit, "A-alone... with me?"

"Yeah, you know, there is always 'use' in useless..." He said smiling.

You deadpanned, "What?"

"Not that you're useless! But you always tell us that's how you feel... so I was trying to help." He rubbed his arm shyly. "I think what I said made better sense in my head."

You giggle, "I got it... thanks Yukine." You both hug and he playfully swings you around.
