Self Conscious

"Rend!" Yelled Yato as he sliced the last of the wasp looking phantoms in half.

"Nice job! Revert Yukine!"

The twin katanas swiftly turned into the blonde regalia. He began to walk beside his master putting both arms crossed on the back of his head. "So... Where to now?" The sunset eyed boy asked in a bored tone.

Yato didn't answer, just then Yukine turned his head to see Yato running off to some alley. "Yato? Where are you going?!" He chased after him.

Catching up, Yukine's eyes widened as there was a small puffy looking spirit floating letting out a luminous glow. It has a small tint of (f/c) light around it, he stared at it in amazement.

Yato silently whispered, "A 14 year old girl... Just like you Yukine..."

"So this is...?" Yukine didn't bother finishing his sentence as he looked at it. Yato nodded.

"So, what do you think? Want a new member in our team?" Yato smirked. Yukine answered with a bright smile, he saw this as an opportunity to make a friend that was his age.

The glowing fluffy ball-like spirit let out an innocent aura, this person didn't want to die, and to think... That the spot in which she died, was a dark alley way beside dirty garbage.

Yato put two fingers together and started to name it.

Present time~
Yato's POV
I sigh looking down at Kofuku's yard from the tree in which I sat in, there she was, (Y/n). My newest regalia. I chuckled, she's so innocent. No lucid thoughts, no negativity, just plain curiosity and adventure is what fills her mind.

At the moment, she struggles creating a borderline. I watch as she fell back and Yukine helping her.

(Y/n)'s POV
I can't do it! Why is it so hard?

Yukine helps me up, "(Y/n), it's okay. You'll get it next time!" He smiles at me. His warm smile, that smile that makes me want to continue to work hard and try my best. "O-okay!" I give my brightest smile.

As I enter Kofuku's shrine, I see an unfamiliar person.

"Hiyorin~!" Kofuku ran past me and attacked the brunette with pretty pink eyes into a hug. She wore a school uniform, I noticed she held some notebook in her left hand and her school bag on the right.

Once Kofuku let go, she noticed my presence. "Hello, I'm Iki Hiyori! Who might you be?" She smiles warmly, her kind aura showing.

"I-I'm (Y-y/n)..." I avoided her gaze looking down at my feet. It's strange meeting new people.

"This is Yato's new regalia!" Yukine suddenly appeared beside me giving her a toothy smile. "Awe you're so cute, and you're shy too huh?" The girl named Hiyori patted my (h/c) hair.

"Eh~ Hiyori!" Yato glomped Hiyori, this was fun to watch as she flipped my poor master over her shoulder yelling "Jungle Savate!" I giggled a bit.

"So, what brings you here Hiyori?" Kofuku laid on the floor eating some pocky.

"Oh yeah! Yukine-kun, I got to check your homework. And I got a new subject to teach you!" She clapped her hands together sitting down near the table in front of me and Yukine.
