Marshmallows

Hope you like marshmallows! Because in the oneshot you love em!

You were chilling laying on Hiyori's couch lazily upside down. Your legs over the back of the couch as your head dangled a bit. A bag of marshmallows on your chest opened and half empty. Your (h/c) hair spread out letting gravity do its thing.

"(Y/n)? There you are!"

"Hmm?" You tilt your head stuffing a piece of fluffy sweetness into your mouth, you slowly chew on it.

"Don't eat marshmallows upside down!!!" Yato grabbed you by the collar pulling you up to a sitting up position. You shrugged and continued chewing on your marshmallow. Yato sighed and took your bag of marshmallows. "You need to listen to me (Y/n), you got a job to do." You glared at him as you simply reached out pulling out a whole other bag of marshmallows from under the couch. "What the heck?!" The blue eyed God sweatdropped.

You chuckled and flicked a marshmallow up in the air catching it in your mouth perfectly. Yato facepalmed and continued speaking, "The job asks for two volunteers at a campsite, a few campers need someone to take care of the children while they go hiking."

You gulped down the last of the marshmallows from the bag. "Why can't you and Yukine do it?"

"Because I'm doing a different job. Plus, I think it's about time you spent some quality time with your partner... And by the way... Did you just finish the whole bag?"

You scoffed, "Partner? He's just a pervy boy who doesn't respect me nor you..." You crossed your arms glaring ignoring the other question. He chuckled and held his chin shaking his head, "(Y/n), (Y/n), (Y/n)..." His hair swiftly shook on his head, "We all know you have a crush on that pervy boy." Yato smirked handing you your bag of marshmallows back. You blushed red, and you knew it. To hide it your genius plan was to stand up and walk away... 'Way to not act suspicious...' You sighed. "I know what you're thinking! It won't work! You can't hide anything from me!" Yato chuckled smirking as your figure left the room.

"That Yato... He's always getting in my business..." You growled. You entered Hiyori's room, you saw her reading a book as she laid on her pink decorated bed. "Hi!" You smile, "Thanks for your hospitality!" You bow down politely. She giggles, "No problem (Y/n), Yato just doesn't understand that you need a safe place to stay." You made a 'Tch' sound, "I know right?! He expected me to sleep on the floor of someone else's shrine! Not to mention that one experience want pleasant at all..." You gritted your teeth.

"You know... You never told me what made you hate Yukine so much... Yato I understand, but Yukine? I expected that you two would've gotten along pretty well." You sighed not wanting to talk about it. You walk over sitting on a spot beside her on the bed and offer her a marshmallow. "Well... It's kinda embarrassing you might say..." You looked at your (f/c) socks. Hiyori was chewing on a marshmallow waiting for you to continue. "I'll summarize it for you, Yato made me sleep on the floor in the shrine... You already know that. What you probably didn't know was that by then, I never met Yukine. When I first met him, he was too close for comfort! I woke up sleeping one inch away from a boy I didn't even know!!! Not to mention he..." You mumbled the rest making it hard for Hiyori to hear. "He did what?" She leaned holding a marshmallow in her hand. You blushed looking down, "He...st-tole my first kiss!" You brought up your knees hugging them. "Really?! How?!"

You nervously chuckled, "that's how he woke me up... Apparently he kept apologizing about how it was an accident... But how can you kiss someone, apologize, then the next day act like nothing happened? I wanted to at least be friends with him despite our first impression... But he kept ignoring me. So I'm ignoring him back! And now Yato wants me to do a job, with HIM?!" You laid back on her bed letting out sighs releasing stress, "Thanks for letting me talk it out with you Hiyori... You're really my only friend." You smiled at her.
