The prefect told me who my roomates are. Lily and Opal. I didn't understand Lily. She didn't laugh, but she didn't defend me. Opal, well I just plain didn't want her in this room. But then again, she was the only other girl I've talked to since the train ride. I sighed. It was seven in the evening. Everyone would be at dinner for at least an hour. I grabbed my guitar and started writing a new song.

"Can I have a map? I'm getting lost in your eyes. That's the first thing you said. And when I looked up, it was no surprise. So much hair gel was applied to your head. I'm a VIP, that's what you told me. But I only see a visitor's pass. Here's a tip for free, since you don't know me. And even though you didnt ask..." I sang as I continued to the chorus. I have to admit, Sirius helped me write the first verse. I smirked at the thought. It is already 7:30 pm! I finished with half of the song. Happy with myself, I set my guitar down, grabbed Cappuccino (my cat) and started to unpack. When I unpacked, I let Cappuccino stay in the dorm. I went down to the Common Room. I think I was sitting here looking at the crackling fire for a good ten minutes.

People started filing in the Gryffindor house. I thought about leaving, but I read some more of my book, as if I didn't notice all those people coming in. Everyone besides them, Lily, and Opal went upstairs to their dorms. The boys came up to me and sat down around me, with the exception of Pettigrew and Lupin who went to sleep. So, it was Potter and Black sitting on both sides of me...with creepy smiles. I stood up, about to go to Lily and Opal (even if I didn't want to). The boys grabbed my wrists and pushed me back down on the couch as I winced. Black started the 'conversation.'

"So, Sapphire, you're always humming. Sing us something, eh?"

"Leave me alone." I grumbled. As much as I like to sing, I don't do it in public a lot. Especially now.

"No. Not until you sing us something." Potter negotiated.

"She's probably not worth it. By the looks of it, she sings like a dying manatee." Black responded with a smirk. That hurt. I wanted to prove them wrong and sing, but I couldn't. Not to them. I tried to slip my wrists out of their grips, with no luck. I groaned, trying to keep my mouth shut.

"C'mon, Evergeek. Sing." Black cackled. I was about to cry. But what is worse is that Lily and Opal were in the room, talking. The could have helped me, defended me, stood up for me. Or at least Lily could have.

"I said, leave. me. alone." I said, louder and irritated. I tried to break away.

"Nah..." They said in unison, pulling me back. I don't think that it was about the singing anymore. I think it was just for their pleasure. And what else did I notice? Lily and Opal left the room to go to the dorm.

"So, why do you have only one suitcase, freak?" Potter asked. Freak? Now they're going to call me names?
