Opal stood there with a blank look on her face, occasionally sipping from her bottle. She hasn't said anything or made any move to do so.
"Opal? Did you need something?" I cautiously asked.
"Hm? Oh, right! I lied." She giggled like a school girl. My eyes widened.
"About what?" I felt a lump form in my throat.
"I'm leaving a month earlier!" She giggled again, gulping down the remainder of her drink. She took another bottle from the counter, but I took it out of her hand.
"What do you mean?!" I growled.
"I lied to all of you. I'm leaving a month earlier to New York." She kept making weird giggling noises that disturbed me.
"You WHAT?!" I screamed, although it sounded as if I just tried talking over the music.
"I'm leaving on November 1st! Okay, byeeeee!" She took the firewhiskey from my hand and skipped away, to Remus. I just stood there, in the middle, completely unable to move.
I grabbed a firewhiskey from the counter, opening it and walked over to the boys' room to see Sirius.
"Hi." I breathed out and closed the door, happy with the sudden silence. "Why aren't you enjoying the party you four created?" I asked.
"I didn't know it was illegal to relax instead of being at a party." He scoffed.
"But, you're Sirius Black."
"And you're Sapphire Evergreen."
"Look, I'm tired, can I sit down?" I rolled my eyes and he nodded, so I sat down closer to him, relaxing a bit.
"You seem tense. What's wrong?" He asked me.
"Aside from the firewhiskey situation? Opal lied." I said, angrily.
"What? Lied about what?" He raised his eyebrow in confusion, sitting up. I told him what Opal told me. He stared at me with his mouth open. "Are you serious?!"
"No." I said, firmly.
"Oh."
"You are." I smirked.
"Stop that!!" He rolled his eyes, making me laugh. "I can't believe Opal lied. Why do you think she did it?" He asked
"I don't know. She has to tell everyone else soon or later. I just- I can't believe she's leaving."
"Let's not dwell on it for now, okay?"
"Alright." I sighed, offering him the firewhiskey in my hand. He looked at me cautiously and I nodded, so he took a sip. We gave it back and forth to each other, taking a few sips in turns until the bottle was empty.
A kiss later, I smiled, and laid down next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and the comfortable feeling consoled me until I fell asleep.
