September 1st (7th year)
Sirius and I waved to my parents as I walked on the train. I can't stop beaming. Everything has been going my way. I have an amazing boyfriend, as we're still together. All of my best friends are in a relationship except Peter, so I am happy for them. My grades are at a high, as I passed the O.W.L.s with excellent marks. The full moons have been calmer than usual. In fact, we told Lily all about it, and she took it way better than we thought. She whacked Remus over the head because he said that if she hated him for it, that she could leave. AShe told him that she will never hate him and that he is stupid to think so. My nightmares have been getting more vivid, which seems to be the one thing going a worse. There was one about something in blood written on the walls, where Severus defended Harry and I backed him up. There was another nightmare in which Harry's name was chosen out of the Goblet of Fire. There was also a dream where the girl with frizzy brown hair showed the boy with reddish hair how to properly say 'Wingardium Leviosa.' It was rather funny actually, and it reminded me of the year I proved Sirius wrong. The Slytherins haven't bothered us. Riddle hasn't shown up in Hogwarts since Christmas break of 6th year. I honestly don't know why, but I heard him say something last year, on the train to Hogwarts for sixth year.

Flashback

I walked through the hallway to go change into my robes. I heard something suspicious, as Riddle was talking to his friends.
"Hogwarts. What a horrid excuse for a school." My eyes widened as I eavesdropped, fairly close to the compartment, but hidden from them. "I don't know what I'd do if I had to stay for another two years."
"What do you mean by that, Tom?" Lucius inquired.
"Let's just say I won't be able to attend after Christmas break." He smirked darkly. I heard silence until he spoke again. "You will all understand when the time comes."
I left to change into my robes.

End of Flashback

To this day, I don't know why he didn't show up after the break. It's as if he vanished.
"Have you seen Lily, James, and everyone else?" I asked Sirius. We were the only ones in the compartment, for now.
"I don't think I care right now." He told me, getting closer and closer to me until we were about a centimeter away from each other. I grinned and kissed him, feeling the sparks automatically. He smiled through the kiss and licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance. At first, I didn't let him, but I finally gave in. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and wrapped his arms around my waist. I played with his hair. His brown, messy shaggy hair. I could've sworn I heard scattered conversations, but that might have been a mistake.
"Wooahh! What is going on here?" James screamed out jokingly. Oh Godric. I will make sure that he will die a painful death. That little - wait, I can't have my nightmares coming true. Quickly, Sirius and I separated.
"Don't get too crazy." He winked.
"Oh, please, James." I scoffed. "You wish you had that with Lily."
"Hey, that is not- well..." He looked as if he thought about it, to annoy Lily next to him, who punched him in the arm. "OW! I'm just saying!" He protested. She rolled her eyes and sat next to him, across us. In the span of seconds, Opal, Remus, Molly, Arthur, and Peter walked in.
"Hello!" Molly chirped. She is a cheerful person. I've gotten to know her really well since last year. And she looks so cute with Arthur. I can almost imagine their little red-headed kids running around Hogwarts.
"Hi." I smiled at them coming in.

After a few hours and getting changed into our robes, we came back in the compartment. I noticed Opal has been quiet ever since she came in. Something is definitely wrong. I cleared my throat.

"Opal, is everything alright?" I asked her, causing everyone to stare at her, but stop quickly because of the pressure it seemed to put on her.
"W-well, not really." She looked like she was about to cry.
"C'mon, you can tell us. Don't be afraid." Molly reassured her.
"Please don't hate me, you guys. Okay, so you know how I went to that fashion school in New York for both summers?" She took a gulp. We all nodded. "They offered me a job to start after the New Year. They obviously don't know about me being a witch. My mum insisted I take the job offer and they planned it all out. My older muggle brother, Tay, will go with me. I have no choice. I'm so so so sorry." She said the last part so softly, it's as if she was breathing it out.

I can't believe it. She's leaving.
