Ch.8: Meeting Jaws 3D

(A/N: I just realized how much I've made Rei as the main love interest, so very sorry, but don't worry, because that's all about to change. 😏 BTW, this is mainly just a filler chapter.)

-Iwatobi Mall-33 Days til Prefecturals-
It was now Sunday. The day after Rei and Y/N had their tutoring adventure.
The two had set up a time for them to meet up every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday to study. Before the rest of the swim team -including Gou- somehow came out of nowhere and talked the two into joining them to a fast food place to eat dinner. Gou, once questioning Y/N's dress/Haru's shirt she was wearing, had demanded that she took Y/N out shopping for actual clothes for the (H/C).
And that's why Y/N was standing in front of the large building, known as Iwatobi Mall, awaiting for the burgandy haired female.
Nibbling on a giant, soft pretzel, the young Mermaid-turned-human was staring off into space, until feeling a force tackle her.
Y/N glared at Gou, who was in a giggling mess, about to scold the female for 'coming out of nowhere and ruining her pretzel', until she felt a large shadow cast over her. Gulping, she raised her (E/C) orbs up to catch with a familiar burgandy pair.
The male looked a lot like Gou, he was attractive, and had the same colored hair and eyes as the young female. He was, though, defiantly taller than both females. He dressed rather casually, with all black, a red plaid shirt wrapped around his waist and a black baseball cap shielding his face from the summer heat.
"Oi, Gou, who's this?" The male questioned Gou, as soon as her giggling began to die down. That was when Y/N noticed his shark like teeth and froze.
"I told you to call me Kou!" Gou fumed. She then scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest. "This is Y/N-chan, the girl I told you we were meeting. Y/N-chan, this is my older brother, Rin." She introduced, a bit grumpily.
Y/N awkwardly nodded her head in greeting to the red head, while he simply eyed her down.
Not knowing if she did something wrong, Y/N quickly pulled out her journal and wrote down in it: 'Nice to meet you!'
"Hah?" Rin looked both confused and shocked at the same time.
"I told you that Y/N-chan was a selective mute." Gou rolled her eyes, annoyed with her brother. "Alright! Let's get shopping!" Back to her overly hyper self, Gou grabbed both her brother's and new friend's wrists, then pulled them into the air-conditioned building.

-Night-Haru's House-
"You haven't spoken much since you've gotten home." Haru pointed out, his tone as blunt as ever, as his ocean blue orbs eyed the female as she picked at the (F/Food) that was on her plate. "And I don't mean because of your condition." He added, causing Y/N to pause what she was doing.
"I met him today." Y/N said, not having to glance up from her food in order to know that Haru had become as tense as her. "He's different from that time, right?" She questioned.
"Just eat your food." Haru sighed, taking his own empty plate to the sink.
Y/N glanced out the kitchen window, watching the pink and orange sky slowly turn a dark purple, before sighing and finishing the food that was on her plate.
