-Iwatobi High Pool-5 Days till Prefecturals-
Y/N breathed heavily as she smacked her hand against the wall, looking at Makoto and Gou expectantly.
"That's another personal best, N/N! Amazing!" Gou gushed as she looked up from the stopwatch in her hand and smiled widely at the only other female member.
Y/N beamed in response.
It wasn't long until Haru and Nagisa caught up, swimming their own strokes, and turning their attention to their manager.
"Great job, Haru-senpai! Another personal best!" Gou stated as she scrawled down his timing.
"The training camp from hell paid off!" Nagisa cheered, swimming into Haru's lane. "What about me?" He then asked Gou.
The red head looked down at her stopwatch and smiled at the blond encouragingly. "Nagisa, you need to work a little harder." She told him.
"Still, I think we've all come a long way in such a short time." Added Makoto as he stood beside the manager. "And Rei's been improving his butterfly time."
"It helps that Rei-kun is pretty built from the pole vaulting he's done." Gou agreed. "But! That's not good enough! We must aim higher! Find a proper coach!" She exclaimed.
"Eh?! Find a coach now?" Nagisa asked in surprise.
"It's never too late to start." Y/N spoke up, her voice having risen in volume after the past month. It wasn't exactly a full normal volume, but it was high above a whisper.
"Right!" Gou agreed. "Even if someone can just help provide some last minute conditioning, we'll be in better condition for the tournament!" The red head female cheered.
"A coach would be helpful, but we don't know any-" Makoto began, only to be cut off by Gou.
"That's why we have to look harder!" She exclaimed. "Right, N/N?!" Gou grinned at the (H/C), who was now walking towards the swim captain and manager, drying out her damp hair with her towel.
"Not necessary." Haru said after he got out of the water, before walking towards the diving block.
"Yeah, Haru probably doesn't need a coach. Y/N too." Makoto smiled wryly.-Next Day-Lunch-4 Days till Prefecturals-
"Everyone! I printed out the pictures from our training camp!" Exclaimed Gou as she ran up to the roof, where the five swimmers were sitting.
"Lemme see!" Nagisa cheered excitedly.
The six hovered over the pictures that Gou had layed out, all in awe at how many pictures there were. Y/N especially was intrigued.
"You took a whole bunch!" Stated Nagisa as he looked at the numerous amount of pictures.
"Everybody's having fun!" Rei laughed as he picked up one.
Y/N herself giggled seeing some of the poses that the males did, she also picked up one of the pictures, which was of Rei sleeping with a drawing on his face, which she showed Haru who gave her an amused look of his own.
"Hey look at this one! Haru has a funny look on his face!" Nagisa laughed as he held up his own picture.
"And he's actually looking into the camera for once." Smiled Makoto as he gazed at the printed film.
Rei, sounding like he was about to cry, held up a different picture. "What is with this picture?! It's not beautiful at all!" He exclaimed.
Y/N looked at it and patted Rei's shoulder as if to soothe him, as the picture was of Nagisa putting floaties on the megane.
"Um, preserving the moment?" Gou innocently said with a smile.
"Anyways, there's something behind Mako-chan!" Nagisa exclaimed as he held up a picture of himself and Makoto.
Y/N and Makoto looked like they were about to pass out when looking at the thing in the background, until Gou said, "Oh, that's Miss Amakata wearing a hyaluronic acid pack."
"Hyalu?" Nagisa asked.
"What?" Y/N blinked.
"Hyaluronic acid." Rei corrected.
"Don't scare me, Nagisa!" Both Makoto and Y/N spoke in sync.
"Gomen, gomen." Nagisa smiled as he apologized, before picking up another random picture and both him and Makoto screamed.
"Will you keep it down?!" Rei asked in a shout.
Y/N smiled and rolled her eyes, before looking at the picture and her eyes widened slightly.
The picture was of the ocean, but there was something in the distance that made the sunset not look as pretty. It was Y/N, if looked close enough, with her whole body under the water except for her shoulders up. It seemed the others didn't recognize the (H/C) dot's identity though as Nagisa exclaimed that it was some sort of seaweed monster.
"I don't remember that." Murmured Gou, in which only Y/N had heard.
"Is this Samezuka's team?" The sudden question brought everyone to look at Haru, who was holding a picture of Jabba Jaws. "When did you take this, Gou-chan?" Nagisa asked.
"I did some scouting on the second day." Gou laughed sheepishly.
While distracted, Y/N hid the picture of herself.
"Wow, that's our capable manager." Makoto praised.
"Did you use sex appeal again?" Nagisa asked, unimpressed.
"Sex appeal had nothing to do with this!" Denied Gou. "And I got plenty of data in addition to the pictures. These are the swimmers who will be in the one-hundred and two-hundred meter breast with Nagisa." She explained, pointing out certain members in the pictures. "These are the swimmers in backstroke with Makoto-senpai. This is who will do butterfly with Rei-kun. I'll have their individual swimming styles and other information recorded in this secret data book by tournament time." Gou stated, holding up a journal similar to the one Y/N wrote in. Gou suddenly looked like she remembered something as she gazed at Haru. "Oh, and nii-chan is in-"
"The one-hundred meter free." Haru answered for her.
Gou smiled sadly. "Yes. He didn't enter any other races just so he could focus on his race with you." She explained.
Y/N's attention was on Nagisa as he rushed to sit in the middle between Makoto and herself, both leaning in as he whispered, "Haru-chan says he doesn't care about his times or winning races, but he's motivated when he's racing Rin-chan." He stated.
Y/N shifted a bit, feeling uncomfortable at the thought and glanced at Haru just as the picture he was holding flew from his hands and into the wind.
Y/N made a move to quickly grab the photo, but it had gone right over the roof before she could.
