Chapter 4: Turn Up!

Valerie's POV

After my little meeting with Ms. Dimas I head home And now I'm in my room putting in a red bandage dress that reaches above the mid thigh. I don't look that bad thanks to my leopard print cardigan can the ends 3/4 sleeve down my arm. And not to mention my red 4 inch heels. I'm not much of a heel person once there higher then 4 inches.

I head down stairs fully dress and decide to get something to eat before I get picked up. Jace happened to be in the kitchen.

"Well, were are you going?" He asks with a slight mocking tone. I always ask him the same thing when he goes out.

"Party but going to eat before I leave." I said while heading over to the drive and getting a water bottle, some cheese and tortilla.

"What chu cookin'?"

"Quesadillas."

"Make me some?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"Noo."

"Pleasee?"

"Kay." I give in. I don't like him bitching.

I make 3 quesadillas for him and 2 for me. I finish the last one and hear a honk.

"That's for me. Don't wait up." I said while walking out of the kitchen.

"Wait kido. Come here." He gets up from his seat.

"Umm.. Okay?" I questions the look on his face.

He gets out his wallet and I assume he's going to get me money.

"Go upstairs and get a clutch or a gold side bag." I do as instructed and get my gold shoulder bag. I put in there my wallet and my phone with it's charger. And walk back down stairs.

I go up to Jace now. "What's up?" I question once more.

He reached into his back pocket once more and pulls out his wallet. He opened it and pulls out a small square that looks like a...

"Is that a condom?" I question. I'm getting annoyed about the whole me still being a virgin thing.

He hands it to me and I take it.

"What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?" I raise an eye brow and speak with venom dripping down ever word I speak.

"Um.. You see.. Uh.." He mumbled. Please don't give me 'the talk' right now.

"Jace. I'm not going to fuck. Keep the damn condom okay?" I said pushing it into his chest.

"No. Actually, I want you to keep it. You're not a kid anymore and I just want what's best for you. For you to be safe. Kay?" He said shyly.

"If I keep it will you be happy?" I asked with a reassuring smile.

"Yeah. I would be." He smiles back.

**HONK***

"Ugh. Well I'll see you later then. Bye." And with that I walk out to the car with only Oscar in it. Thankfully.

"Hey they." He grunts.

"Woh. What's with you?" I ask as I put my seatbelt on.

"Rachel is being a bitch." He grunts while pulling out into the main road.

"Rachel being...?" Who?

"The girl from this morning." Oh. Okay. You mean the bitch you ditched me for. Yeah, I remember her.

"Oh. Why?"

"Because I didn't want to smoke pot and she got upset." What did you expect.

"That's good that you said no but really she kinda doesn't belong with 'our group'." I quote.

"Yeah yeah. I know." He mumbles. He knows I'm right but he's always a such dick about it.

We pull over and park on the sidewalk. I slip out and get hit with the sound of music, smell of alcohol and sight of either people making out, grinning or drinking.

"Come on. It's already midnight. The party's at full swing. Loosen up babe." He said like he's one of them. I look at him and see that 'Rachel' and him have make up as soon as we walk into the house.

"How about we have some fun upstairs?" She asks as she runs her finger up and down his chest. And I knew what that meant.

"Sure babe." And then they just walk off. Not even a goodbye nothing. He's beginning to get on my nerve.

Who the hell just leaves there best friend for some sex? That's just so fucked up!

I walk in the kitchen completely oblivious to anything and everything. I really need a drink.

He just left you...Just like today... You knew this was going to happen. I mean he is a good guy anyway. It was only a matter of time anyway...

I walk over to the counter and see a jack Daniels bottle. Well I do need a drink. I take very large gulps. Then everyone starts running out. Wait what? Why is every one running? I just finish the rest of the Jack Daniels that was resting it on my lips.

That's when I hear the sirens. Shit. I put it down from my lips and was about to start running when I feel a strong hand in my wrist.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have..." Great. A police officer. Fucking PERFECT.

"...Do you understand these rights?"

"Yea."

"Good." He pulls me over to a cop car and I see Oscar leaving.

"Dude, what the fuck!" I'm mouth to him.

"Sorry. I'll bail you out in 20." He mouth back wrapping his hand around 'Rachel's' waist.

"Better." I mumble when I step into the cop car and drive away.
