"why is your dress so short?"
it was made that way, and I like it.
"you're showing too much cleavage."
I can't help it, I have large boobs.
"only people with flat stomachs can wear crop tops."
that is not true because I am wearing one and I don't have a flat stomach.
"you wear too much makeup."
it's my face and I can wear what I want on it.
"with the way you're dressing and looking, you're basically asking for someone to come rape you."
actually, no. you're wrong again. no one asks to be raped, guys just can't seem to look at someone and know they should keep their hands off. I refuse to not show off my body because a man cannot handle himself. From a young age girls are taught that their bodies are wrong and they shouldn't be happy about them (your boobs are too big, you're too fat, you're too skinny, etc.) when a girl is in school and she wears something that the school thinks is inappropriate, the girl is sent home because her male peers "can't keep their dick in their pants." Sending this girl home is telling her that showing off her shoulder, or her knee, or her chest is wrong, when in fact it isn't. When you send that girl home, you're telling her that a males education is more important than hers because she has to go home and miss lessons, while the guys get away free of charge. Sending that girl home is teaching her rape culture, whether you like it or not. Young girls should not be sexualized at a young age, especially before they even know what sex is. 10 year olds should not have to worry about if their shirt cuts down too low, or if their skirt is a little too short. They should be able to live through their childhood without having to worry about those things, but they can't, because we live in a society that tells you that it's wrong to show off your body or even be proud of your body. If you show a little too much skin, you're labeled a slut or a whore. But, if you don't show enough, you're labeled a prude or too modest. So, before you tell that girl over there that her shirt is a little too low, remember that it's not your body and she can do whatever the fuck she wants.
