HEY GUYS! I'M BACK!

I know you guys have been looking forward to the sequel of Good vs. Evil, so here is a sneak peak for the first chapter! (In reality, this is the first chapter, so, yeah...) Also, in case you guys don't know, the original first chapter is going to be up on March 1st (I HOPE).

Enough chat, though, and let us begin the story!

Anger and hatred cloud in Chase's eyes as he throws punch after punch towards Marcus's neck. It takes all of Marcus's concentration to dodge half of the attacks before Chase fakes a punch to his eye and kicks him in the shin. Marcus doubles over in pain and Chase takes the opportunity to smash his elbow into Marcus's spine, knocking Marcus flat on his stomach, a groan escaping Marcus's lips before he could stop it.

"Good, good! Nice work, Chase," Douglas says. "Marcus, you have to become faster if we are going to even begin to think about succeeding in the upcoming battle."

Chase lowers his hand to help Marcus up. Marcus grips his hand and pulls himself up.

"You actually had me there, Chase," Marcus says, his voice full of admiration as he completely ignores the instruction coming from Douglas. He rubs his back. "Though I have to disagree with the decision to murder my back..."

Chase smirks slightly. "Yeah, well, I thought I'd have to cheat and use my bionics to get you." He slaps Marcus's back.

Marcus scowls as his face contorts into one of pain. "My spine's going to be wrecked for the next, like, two days or something. Thanks Chase. A legit thanks to you, mate."

"Boys, enough. Chase, remember to relax when you're fighting one of our own. If you want to do some actual damage, deliver it on the battlefield or ask me to create something for you to train more...efficiently." Douglas walks forward and clasps a hand on Chase's shoulder. He clears his throat. "Marcus, do you mind leaving us for a moment? I have to talk to Chase."

"Sure," Marcus says. "Yeah, it'll give me a moment for my shoulder to heal."

They wait for a moment as Marcus exits the room before Douglas leads Chase to the hologram keyboard.

Douglas takes a deep breath and begins speaking, "So, Chase, how are you holding up, huh?" He waits a moment for a response, but only gets a slight shrug. "You know, it's okay to be angry." No response except a scowl forming onto Chase's chiseled features. "You lost the love of your life, Chase. It's fine if you aren't really ready to cope with that; it's only been four months."

"I didn't loose the love of my life. I lost Bree - and we obviously didn't love each other enough because she fell in love with the person that kidnapped her. I'm perfectly at peace with her decision and I hope she is content with hers, so..." And with those words, he storms out of the room, the door slamming shut behind him.

Douglas sighs and slams his clenched fists through the holographic keyboard and exclaims in anger.

Immediately, Marcus and Brian, a new bionic boy that Douglas had just created, were by his side.

"What's wrong, sir?" Brian asks before realization strikes upon his crystal blue eyes. "You asked whether Chase was okay, didn't you?" Douglas's look up is all it takes for both of the boys to understand their boss's strange outburst. "You can't expect him to cope with something in two months that you have yet to cope with for over ten years."

Douglas's face darkness instantly and five sharp words are spoken, spite, anger, and something else dripping with each word. "Never talk about that again."

His voice causes both boys to retaliate and slowly back towards the door that they had entered only a few moments.

"Leave me. Now."

And with that, both boys sprint out the door as fast as their legs can talk them.
