*ASHTON'S P.O.V.*
"I will find you and your family and your friends and murder every last one of you, heed my words. " Ashton threatened, staring down the scientist that had entered the room. She had her arms chained to the concrete ground, surrounded by windowless walls made also of concrete. One iron door was the only way out, and a fluorescent light illuminated the room brightly. The scientist was young, possibly early 30's. He had brown, slicked back hair and think framed glasses. He had a whit lab coat and bright blue shirt, and was constantly scribbling on his clipboard every time she made a movement. Ash glared at the scientist.
"Why the hell am I in here?" She questioned. He scribbled , then spoke.
"Tests," he stated blankly. As if on cue, a man with white sweat pants and t-shirt walked in, a terrified look on his face. Ashton felt a frown form.
"What?" she asked. The scientist spoke once more. "Do your power on him. Try and put him in as much pain as possible." he said blankly.
"That's evil, no way." Ashton refused. The scientist clicked his pen.
"What if I told you this man murdered a family of five, and we pulled him from the prison to test on?" the scientist said monotone.
The simple fact of being in the same building as a murderer would've given Ashton shivers, but added to the fact that Ashton was chained to the floor in a room with a one way exit made her change her way of thinking. She looked at the man, who stood stiffly a few feet away from the scientist. It was quiet for a moment, until the man screamed loudly, cutting through the silence sharply. He crumpled to the ground , writhing in pain. He held onto his head and screamed once more, twisting on the ground.
"Stop." the scientist said, and Ashton cut off her connection. The scientist wrote down a novel's worth of words, and looked back up at Ashton. "How about, surging your power through touch? We will have him step closer to you, close your eyes and rest your hands on his arm. Surge your power then." the scientist said in his once again monotone voice.
The white clothed man hesitantly stepped closer towards Ashton, mumbling to himself. Ashton reluctantly closed her eyes, and stretched her arm as far as the chain would allow, letting her fingertips touch his arm. She surged.
Once again, he fell to the ground in pain, but after Ashton lost contact with him, the power stopped flowing. Ashton opened her eyes. The scientist looked at her.
"We're trying something new." he pulled a key out from around his neck and released Ashton from her shackles. She stood up , rubbing her wrists pink.
"Telekinesis, we believe you are the wielder of it. Try," was all he said. Ashton shrugged her shoulders.
"Don't know. Also," her eyes glimpsed at the door. The scientist pulled out a 5mm pistol from the inside of his jacket. "Don't try it, Ma'am. But you can try your power." Ashton looked at the gun, and sighed.
"How?" she asked. He rolled his eyes and looked at her. "If you want me to hold your hand throughout the whole thing, we're never going to get anywhere. Move your hand in a sweeping motion, use your mind to , I don't know, push him aside."
Doing as he said, Ashton got into a 'ready for action' type of stance. With the man standing in the middle of the room, Ashton focused on 'sweeping him away.' She swept her hand in front of her, and a wave of invisible force shot in front of her, knocking the man back into the wall. He hit the ground with a dull thud.
"No way, " she said in disbelief. The scientist slightly smiled. "Now try picking him up." he said. Ashton held her hand in front of her, and closed her hands into a fist. As if physics didn't exist anymore, the man was what appeared to be pulled up off the ground. Ashton slightly moved her hand to the right, and the man, still suspended in the air, moved with her hand. She moved her hand up, and the man went wth her motion. She smiled.
