What the hell is blowing in my face and why does it smell like peppermint?

That was the first thought that ran through my mind this morning. I reached for the duvet so I could pull it up over my face to block out the rays of sun peeking through the blinds and the peppermint breath that kept hitting my face every few seconds. But a warm hand grabbed mine and laced our fingers together before I could do what I wanted.

"Come on princess, it's time to wake up," I heard Niall whisper into my ear, his voice still thick with its usual morning rasp.

"What time is it?" I croaked out, my eyes remaining shut.

"A little after nine," he stated almost in question form.

"You woke me up before noon?"  I asked.

"Yes," he answered in the same tone as before.

"Niall, you silly boy, never wake me up before noon. I thought we talked about this. If I want to get up early, I'll make my way out of bed on my own. Now, get your cute little butt back in bed and give me cuddles," I ranted sleepily.

"Whatever you say princess," Niall laughed as he slid underneath the covers beside me.

I snuggled into Niall's side, wrapping an arm around his bare waist. Resting my chin on his chest, I looked up into his eyes. A loving smile adorned his soft pink lips as he stared back.

"I feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now," he murmured as he ran his fingers through the tangled mess that is my hair.

"Why is that?" I questioned as I lightly drew circles on the skin near his collarbone.

"Because I'm holding the most beautiful girl in the world in my arms," he whispered before kissing the tip of my nose.

I felt a warm blush heat up my cheeks. Turning away, I buried my face in his chest. Niall's chest shook from his signature laughter as he continued to run his fingers through my hair.

"You're funny," he mused.

"Well you're blind," I mumbled.

"Maybe so, or maybe I am the one who can see perfectly clear."

"Come on, Niall. I am nowhere near the most beautiful girl in the world. Danielle holds that title," I spoke quietly as I continued to trail the tips of my fingers along Niall's burning skin.

"I don't think so babe. Dani's beautiful in her own way don't get me wrong, but she's no you."

"Exactly my point, she's tall, thin, has perfect skin-"

"Those things don't matter to me," Niall cut me off. "Let me tell you what I told those girls at the park. True beauty is what is inside of you. That's what I care about."

"So you're saying if a girl ten times prettier than I, where everything about them is perfect, you'd turn her down?" I questioned trying to understand what Niall was trying to tell me fully.

"Yes because I don't like perfection. I like the little quirks that make a person who they are. What I love are your quirks and imperfections, because they make you my kind of perfect," Niall smiled lovingly at me, gently taping my nose with his index finger.

"I'm your kind of perfect?" I asked kind of bewildered. In my own eyes I was far from perfect.

"Yes, now come on, the day is wasting away," Niall changed the subject as he tried to get out of bed.

"Noo," I whined as I gripped Niall's body tighter in my arms. "I just want to spend my last full day with you in bed. Nobody interrupting us as we do whatever it is we want, just you and me."
