Niall's P.O.V.
"Come on, Nat. We have to go get our luggage," I said as I practically dragged my half asleep girlfriend along.
"But I wanna sleep," she mumbled into my shoulder.
"You slept the entire flight here, love," I reminded her as I gripped her waist a little bit more securely, my eyes scanning the crowded airport.
"No I didn't," she argued as she leaned into my body more. I couldn't keep walking like this for much longer.
Releasing a sigh, I paused for a moment to take a better look around and saw Paul standing about twenty feet ahead of us. Waving my free arm and calling out his name, I tried to grab his attention. That was a huge mistake, nearly every girl within those twenty feet and further turned towards Natalie and myself. If Natalie had been falling asleep before, she wasn't now thanks to all the screaming fans that were rushing to surround us. My eyes searched the swarm of people for Paul. I saw him carefully pushing through the crowd about five feet away now.
"N-Niall what's happening?" Natalie asked frantically as she clung tightly onto my shirt.
"Some fans have recognized me. Don't worry Paul is almost here," I said as soothingly as I could manage with a shakey voice into her ear.
To be honest I'm freaking out just as bad as Natalie on the inside. I don't like big crowds surrounding me like this, I guess Nat doesn't either. But I have to remain strong for her. It's no good if both of us are freaking out.
"Can you all please give us some space?" I yelled above the screaming girls. A few listened and kindly took a step back only to be replaced by others who didn't seem to care.
"Niall I already have yours and Natalie's bags, come with me," Paul called to us once he was in ear shot.
Wrapping my arms protectively around Natalie, I helped her walk through the mob as quickly as possible. She desperately clung onto me as if she feared that if she let go she'd never see me again. I don't blame her though; I felt the exact same way. If one of the fans got a hold of Natalie and managed to take her away from me there is no telling what they'd do to her.
Paul ushered us outside and into a large black SUV. Once Natalie and I had made it safely inside, he got into the passenger seat and the car began to slowly drive through the mob of fans. I felt Natalie shaking beside me. I looked at her to see she still held that same look to her face, she was still fearful.
"Hey, princess, shh, it's okay. You're fine now, everything's fine," I cooed into her ear as I pulled her into my side, giving her the best hug I could manage at the moment.
"Everything's fine," she repeated quietly, closing her eyes.
To say I was surprised when we had been brought to Modest! Management HQ would be a lie. I figured this would happen because I took off without clearing it first. But if you think about it, I ended up going when they said they would allow me to. So what's the big deal?
"The big deal Niall was that we had scheduled for Harry and you to do a radio interview in Paris. Harry had to go and do it alone. Do you understand how unprofessional it made you look? How bad it looks for the band? Blowing off your job just to go and see some girl is not good publicity," Ken, the head of our management team, scolded me.
"I didn't know about the interview and yes I do understand how bad it looked. I'm sorry for disappointing you and the lads, but my girlfriend needed me. I had to be there for her and like I have stated before, Natalie is not just 'some girl'. She is my girlfriend and sometimes she will have to come first."
