Nothing But Survival: Dead Eyes

As soon as Roy heard the voice he got everyone to the side of the road that was the opposite the school. The vehicle got closer and closer until Roy, Seth, Mark, Cassandra and Bill saw it was a fire truck. It was going at it's full speed and it wasn't staying on the road, it was going drive into the eaters on the front lawn of the school. They watched it get faster and faster and then break down the brick wall that was the school's fence line. This drew all the eaters attention. But after the damage the fire  truck had done to them there wasn't many coming toward the truck. This person couldn't have been bad and he wasn't there to kill them. For now it was save to trust him. Roy said to Seth and Mark "Get your guns, kill the eaters". The three went forward to help whoever was in the fire truck but before they could open the door, someone they all knew and meant a lot to Cassandra stepped out of it. Theodore. He didn't want to have a touching reunion just yet, he need to put the fire out with the water in the truck. 

The next morning, everyone was the most tired they have ever been. They had lost three of the wings but they were all alive. Theodore and Cassandra were in the humanities wing on the couch holding hands. "I thought you were dead" Cassandra said to Theodore to which he said "I know, I thought I was gonna be to, I thought of you the whole time".  Cassandra rested her head on Theodore's shoulder and in response to this Theodore began to kiss her. As they kept on kissing Cassandra laid down on the couch and opened up her legs as Theodore laid down on top of her and kept on kissing the girl he never thought he would see again. 

Roy was outside moving all the dead eaters on his own. He was feeling very deflated after everything he has been through he almost lost what could be his best chance at surviving to a man that he has no conflict with. he didn't blame Theodore and the others though. At last someone came out to help. "Hey, looks like you could use some help" Seth said to Roy as he kindly welcomed the opportunity. As Roy and Seth continued to make a pile of dead eaters Roy said to Seth, "I think maybe we should search the town, get what we can from there. We can't fight this Angelo bastard again. If he attacks us we will just get what we took from the town and go. Leave the school the eaters." Seth said he would go with him but Roy wanted him in charge and for Mark to keep watch. Theodore would go with Roy. Seth kept on piling up the dead eaters and Roy went to get Theodore.

Theodore and Cassandra were feeling very relaxed as they sat on the couch. As Theodore pulled one of his shoes on he said to his wife "But you were late a month ago so I already did it". Cassandra was putting her hair into a pony tail while Theodore said this to which she said "I know, but we can't let it begin a habit. When all this started we decided we weren't going to have any". Once she finished speaking Roy knocked on the door and got the reply of Theodore which was "Come in". Roy had no clues to suggest what Theodore and Cassandra had been doing on the couch thankfully for them. "Theodore I though we might go into the town. Scavenge what we can, should we need to leave". Theodore nodded and said "Okay man" then gave Cassandra and kiss and told her he loved her. 

Roy and Theodore were about 80 meters from the school. They hadn't seen much to scavenge from until they saw a gas station. "What do you think?" Roy asked Theodore who said back "Looks worth a look". Roy then told Theodore that he would stay there and Roy went in himself to scavenge supplies. There wasn't much there. All Roy found was four energy bars. Roy went behind the counter just to make sure there was nothing else there, but as he bent down to look a man stepped out of the office that was behind him. This man raised his gun and cocked it. When Roy heard this he froze and heard this mans voice say "Drop your gun and knife and stand up". Roy did as he was instructed by this man whose accent was Italian by what Roy could gather. This man then walked behind Roy holding his gun up. He took of Roy's back pack and searched it and the bag which he put the energy bars into. These things the man would take for himself. He then walked back still aiming his gun at the back of Roy's head and said "Turn around slowly and try nothing stupid". Roy did this and then said to this man "You're Angelo Ghiotto?" Roy was right. "I see you've heard all about me. Go into that office and out the back door, you'll see a flight of stairs" Angelo said back to Roy. As Roy began to walk into the office he screamed at the top of his lungs hoping he would hear "THEODORE!!" This distracted Angelo. He looked behind him and then looked forward again to see that Roy was sprinting out of the door into the back alley. Angelo took two shots at Roy and missed both times. This was Roy's plan. Theodore would have heard Roy and the shots.

Theodore ran into the gas station with his gun raised. "Roy" he said distinctly. He got no reply. He couldn't leave. In order to find him Theodore ran into the office and into the alley of which Roy ran into. Before Theodore went to far he checked each corner. But he got something unexpected from one of them. Angelo jumped out. At first Theodore thought it was an eater but then he realized. "Angelo" he said aggressively before he kicked Angelo as hard as he could in the stomach. In retaliation to this Angelo hit Theodore as hard as he could across the head with his pistol which knocked him out leaving him on the floor of the office. 

Roy ran up the stairs that Angelo spoke about. When he got to the top of the stairs he saw to long corridors either side of him. Roy hid against one of the walls that had his back to the stairs. He kept on peering around the corner waiting for Angelo to come up the stairs. Then finally, the Italian man came running as fast as possible up them and as soon as he got to the top Roy jumped out and hit him in the face with a closed fist. This caused Angelo to fall down the stairs to very bottom. His lip was busted and his nose was broken. As he reached for his pistol Roy grabbed it before he could. Angelo began laughing staring down the barrel of his own gun. Roy cocked it and asked Angelo where Theodore was. Angelo didn't need to tell him where he was. He looked to the office door where Theodore's feet were poking out. Angelo then began laughing again only more hysterically. He knew that Theodore was only knocked out. Roy's eyes filled with tears as Angelo continued to laugh. Roy was so distracted that he forgot that Angelo could counteract his attack. And he did. Angelo grabbed Roy's leg which caused him to fall over and drop the gun. Angelo grabbed the gun and held to to the back of Roy's head and said "Now you will join him". After Angelo said this he did exactly the same thing that he did Theodore. 

Before anyone knew it Roy woke up. He found himself in some kind of old mechanics garage. At first his sight was blurred but came into focus. His hands were bound and Angelo and at least twenty of his men were there. "Oh! He finally awakens!" Angelo shouted as Roy tried to hit him. Angelo squatted down in front of him and lit a cigarette. After he took the first puff he said to Roy "You killed Massimo no? Massimo was like brother to me and you killed him. So now, we are going to kill you. And Bill, and Mark, Seth and Cassandra. Theodore is already done. We will kill you now, then the others. We will take the school for ourselves and all six of you're heads we will hang on the walls, and feed the rest of your bodies, to the dead". Angelo took another puff from the cigarette, but then an odd clinking noise was heard on the roof, then a bottle that was made of metal fell from the ceiling. It seemed to be letting a gas out of it. "Fucking tear gas!" Angelo shouted as Theodore blew down the roller door with a grenade and a face mask on. He ran in there got Roy and ran out hoping that Angelo and all his men had passed out. On the street Roy hugged Theodore saying "Thank fuck you're alive man. Where did you get the tear gas?" Theodore said that he got it from the Sheriff's office. Roy then said that Angelo was going to kill the others and they needed to get back to the school.
