I spent the next day driving around Ashton.
It was the city I grew up in.
It was the only place I'd ever known.
I wondered if anyone would notice I was gone.
I wondered if anyone knew me or cared about me at all.
It was a small city.
There wasn't much to do in Ashton around Christmas time.
I might as well give them a funeral to attend.
