Dear Reader,
Thank you so much for reading!

Writing R.S.V.P. has been an amazing experience and has definitely helped me in many ways.

Caitlyn Ellis is a character who struggles with many of the same things I do.  About a year ago I had depression and anxiety.  I had been self harming.  I was suicidal.

I ended up going to therapy, which helped me in so many ways.

One thing I was taught in therapy is how healthy and helpful journaling is.

I keep many journals, but my favorite is my gratitude journal. Looking at the positives in my life has helped me cope with all my mental illnesses.  My gratitude journal is what inspired the idea for this story.

This story is about how Caitlyn decided to take her mental health into her own hands and why.

After the last chapter she isn't magically healed.  I imagine that this is just her turning point.

There are many things Caitlyn can do to help prevent her own suicide and cope with her mental illnesses.

She first builds a support system around herself.
Then there's therapy.
And medication.

And many other things that will help her.

Bradley isn't a cure and that isn't his role.

R.S.V.P. wasn't written with the intention to romanticize mental illness.

It was written to help me express myself and hopefully help others who have felt the same way.

If you have a mental illness, know that you are not alone.

I am always happy to talk to anyone about my experience with it.

I love you all!  Remember that you deserve to be alive.

Goodbye,
H. B. Lamb

P.S.  Feel free to leave comments.  I love hearing from you!
