FROM A BOY'S POINT OF VIEW

•JASONS POV•

She was on my mind that night and I couldn't get her out. Her beautiful smile and hazel eyes that sparkled whenever she looked your way. Her brown wavy hair that grew beyond her neck and shoulders. Her adorable laugh and stubborn attitude.

I lay awake for most of the night thinking, wondering, dreaming about her. Isabelle. I wondered if she felt the sparks when we touched, when we connected. When our eyes locked together the whole world fell away and...

RING RING
and...
RING RING
Dammit.
RING RIN- I answered the phone.
"Hello?"

"Hey sexy"

"Natalia, it's late" something was wrong with her voice, it was all slurred.

"And I'm outside your back door."

"Oh... Okay I'll be right down"

I rushed quietly down the stairs and opened the backdoor.

"Hey sexy, wanna do something?"

She moved closer and I caught a whiff of alcohol.
"Have you been drinking?"

She laughed, "maybe, but I'll get grounded if I go home"

"Fine you can sleep on the bed, I'll go on the couch" I said as we entered my bedroom.

She grabbed my shirt and pulled me close to her.
"Why don't we share?"

I pulled myself away and carried her to the bed tucking her in. "No. Goodnight" I lay on the couch and fell asleep dreaming of Issy's face.

I was running in a field of flowers chasing a girl. I caught up to her and tackled her to the ground. It was Izzy. She smiled innocently up at me with her big hazel eyes. But as I lent down to kiss her I saw someone else in the corner of my eye, it was Natalia staring sadly at me. I tried to reach out for her but she faded away. I quickly sat up. I knew it was a dream, but I also knew that it felt so real.

"Jason?" My girlfriend called, "Where do you keep the low fat butter?"

"We don't have any Natalia, just take the normal butter" I answered climbing off the couch and heading to the kitchen. "Have some nuttella" I said holding out the jar.

She wrinkled up her nose and looked at it in disgust, "No! That's digusting and full of bad things."

"Suit yourself" I replied grabbing a spoon and ignoring the looks she gave me as I ate it straight out the jar. "More for me" I said, my mouth full of chocolate. I couldn't understand why she didn't like it.

Izzy likes it

Some part of me wished it was her standing in front of me. But she wasn't. And she probably never would.

"Jason? Where's the bread? I can only see white bread. Why can I only see white bread! Jason please tell me you have healthier bread."

I sighed. This was going to be a long day.

Natalia and I have known each other for a long time, our parents were friends and business partners, as a result we spent more and more time together. We fell in love. But soon after a year in highschool, we fell apart. She still loved me but I didn't want to be stuck with someone for the rest of my life just because it would make our parents' business more succesful. I wanted to be truly in love with them, for eternity.

"....and if they don't invite me I won't be happy, I mean who wouldn't want to invite me..."

But I no longer felt that way about the girl standing in my kitchen talking to herself, and some part of me still felt guilty about that.

"Will you take me?" Natalia asked

"Take you where?"

"To the dance, Jason!" She said grabbing onto my arm

"Dance? What dance?"

"The one that I've been talking about for the past 10 minutes!"

"Oh, that one" I replied, every year a dance was held at the end of the first term to celebrate new beginnings. "I don't know Natalia, crowed rooms with sweaty teenagers aren't really my thing, you could go with Tyler. I'm sure he'd be over the moon if you asked him."

"Right. Um I've got to go now anyway, so see you at school." She grabbed her things and pratically ran out of the house.

 •IZZY'S POV•

I had been staring out of the window for what seemed like an eternity before the doorbell finally rang.
I hurried out of my room as my mum opened the door where Jack stood.
"Honey, Jack is here!" My mum called as she leant forward to hug the boy.

Jack and I have been inseparable since the day we met. He had brown hair in a subtle quiff with hazel brown eyes to match mine. Everything about us was the same, our sense of humour, our stubbornness, our shyness and even our speech. I guess that's normal, because he is my twin. He lives with another family on the other side of town, but he's in the processes of moving closer. That is why he held a big bag filled with everything but the kitchen sink in his hand.

When we were five years old our parents split up, our father went away and never came back. When we were eight years old my mother couldn't cope anymore, so she sent Jack away to a family nearby. Jack used to hate her for it, but he was quick to forgive her after he began to realise what she went through.
I remember crying every night for 3 months after they took my twin, my brother and my best friend away all at once. I was left with nothing to hold onto, and that's when the bullying started.

I was ten when some girls teased me about my backpack, I still had a Dora the Explorer one. I cried in the bathroom and wouldn't come out until my mother came. From there it just grew, all throughout my life people saw me as weak. As someone they were able to pick on because I liked babyish shows or I was smaller than them.
Every time it got too bad I transferred schools.

"Izzy, long time no see!" Jack shouted hugging me.
"Jack, I saw you two days ago in the park" I replied giggling after pulling away.
"I've got good news." He grinned before carrying on. "I'm transferring schools tomorrow. To your school!"
"Yay! Mum Jack's coming to my school!"
"That's great honey, Jack dear why don't you come in for some lunch" My mother offered holding the door open for him.
"No can do Mum, sorry! I've got to get ready for my new school!"
My mother and I laughed at his eagerness.
"Alright, see you soon."
Jack bid us goodbye and raced down the street scattering some pigeons that were standing on the pavement.

This would be interesting.

Sorry about that chapter, it seriously sucked but who cares I actually feel like I know where this story is going for a change. This was just introducing their relationship and the dance, which will have a bigger part in later parts of the book. I didn't think that anyone was reading this so that's why I didn't write anymore until now.

If you spot any mistakes please tell me. I will go back proof read tomorrow.
