If you can remember Jason's brother who went missing then good for you, but warning I have changed his name. Because I was not thinking when I wrote it and I've decided I prefer the name Nathan. I have gone back to the chapter where I mentioned him and changed the name. Thanks. x }

•JASON'S POV•

•Flashback: Three Years Old•

"Mason?" A trembling voice called, "I'm scared."

"Nate? Is that you?" Our older brother called, I was already in his bed, also scared of the storm.

A streak of lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the room and lighting up Nathan's small frightened face.

"Yes, is Jace in there with you?" He asked peering through the gaps in the wooden sides of Mason's bed. Once he caught sight of me he spoke rather triumphantly, "he is, isn't he!"

I shrunk further into Mason, earlier that night I had claimed that I wasn't frightened of anything especially not a puny storm.

"Jace, you said you weren't scared!" Nate said poking my arm forcefully.

"I'm in here because Mace was upset by the storm." I lied, squealing when he pinched me.

"I am five years old. I'm definitely not afraid of a violent disturbance in the atmosphere." I could hear the smugness in his voice as he told us what a storm was. "And anyway. It's miles away, it can't hurt us."

Suddenly Nate was in the bed with us and asking how Mason knew such a thing.

"Wait for the lightning." He ordered, right on cue a bright light lit up the sky, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11..."

A loud sound of thunder ripped through the room causing me to jump. "See, it's eleven miles away."

"Wow." Nate and I said at the same time.

"Come on Nathan, you can lie with us. There's plenty of space." Mason said making room for another little body.

He grinned and leapt onto the other side of our brother.

I starting to drift off to sleep, but through the constant drumming of the rain on the roof I heard a small voice whispering quietly.

"When I grow up I want to be just like you Mace."

And then the rain pounded harder, drowning out my twin's voice and lulling me into a deep sleep.

•Flashback ends•

The sound of water tapping against all the different surfaces had always been soothing to me, even when my mind was clouded with thoughts and feelings that wouldn't lay settled.

Now all it did was bring back the memories of the times where Nathan would clamber into my bed and cling onto me until the rain had passed. Or when we'd race through the streets chasing each other through the puddles.

I rolled over onto my other side, trying to get comfortable. Tonight was worse than it is normally. In tonight's dream I can remember Nate as clearly as I can remember what I did yesterday.

Squeezing my eyes shut I clamped by hands over my ears to block out the sound of rain.

After a few minutes my hands slipped from my ears and I fell alseep once again.

"Jason? Are you okay?" Izzy asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, sorry. What were you saying?" I was feeling distracted, the dreams last night had taken over and I couldn't stop remembering them.
