Fixation

The next morning I took a shower and waited for Eric to arrive. The thought "how can I tell him his friend tried rape me" entered my mind constantly. I heard him beep his horn and walked outside. "Damn" he said as I got in the car. As we drove he kept looking at my body and I was very flattered but I was focused on telling him this. We pulled up to this restaurant called "Olive Garden" and walked inside.

Once we were settled into our table and had our food I kept thing of ways to tell him. "So you never told me where you work" he said taking a sip of his pink lemonade. "Eric" I say looking away. "I have to tell you something" I continued. He stopped eating and looked at me with worried eyes.

Amina: Look...I wanted to tell you this a while ago, but I couldn't find...the right way.

Eric: Don't...don't tell me you leaving me...fuck, what did I do wrong...I mean how did you fin-

Amina: Eric!

I say in a loud whisper. "That's not what I was going to say". I say looking at him. He let out large breath of relief and continued at his food. "What is it then" he said taking another bite. "You know your friend dre"? I began. "Yeah"? He said raising on eye brow. I continued "He.....he tried to rape me....more than once" I say trying not to cry.

His eyes widened and he looked like he'd seen a ghost. "W-wait you".. He stuttered. "Listen...I've been holding off calling the police for sometime ,because I have no proof...until I do...do you think you could provide me with some protection like...keeping him away from me"? I continued. He still looked surprised and confused. "I........wow" he said as he began to sweat. "You really think it was him...I mean I...I don't think so" he said frantically looking around.

"Yes I know it was him, he said he would do it the first time I met you when me and him had that altercation". I finished. "I'll be back" he said getting up to go to the restroom. I waited there a couple minutes and he came back out looking more calm with no sweat and a slight smirk. "Listen" he said sitting down. "I don't think dre did this to you, but if you want me to stay a couple nights...then I can to keep you safe" he finished.

Amina: nope nope nope

Eric: why?

Amina: cause we both know what's gonna happen if we both stay together

Eric: yeah and what's wrong with that?

Amina: we barely know each other that's what's wrong

I said drinking my water. "Ight" he said checking his beeper. "Damn, if they don't stop beeping my shit...hey you wanna go somewhere else"? He asked. "Like where"? I said smiling. "Just come on girl" he said placing the waiters tip on the table. We left and spent the whole day together first we went to the studio to record a couple of his verses, then we went to the movies and then to fat burger, by that time it was 750 so we stayed and talked forever, by the time he took me home it was 1145. I walked to my door step as he followed. He held my hand gently and looked into my eyes as we stood in front of the door. "So you gonna let me in"? He says smirking. "I'm sorry, I can't...plus I've been a lil shook up with all this mess happening". I finished. "But baby girl, I can protect you" he says moving in closer. "And there's nothing wrong if we want each other" he said as his lips moved closer to my neck and his lips softly kissed it, I couldn't help but kiss him back" I the gently pushed him away by his stomach. "Eric...I'm sorry". He looked both sad and disappointed more irritated than anything. "You ight" he said letting go of my hand to walk to his car. "Are you okay Eric" I asked. "Yeah I'm coo" he said getting into his car and speeding off.
