Adrien-
Marinette lays on her stomach drawing in her book. I lay next her, watching. She makes short and careful strokes, coloring in an design she just drew.
"So Marinette." I say. "When did you start liking fashion?"
"I don't know." She answers. "I remember my grandma teaching me how to sow. I even remember the first thing I made with her."
"What's that?" I ask turning onto my back.
"It was a tiny pillow for one of my old dolls." She says. "It was purple with little pink hearts."
(A/N: I did this with my grandma, so I added it in.)
"Cool." I sigh.
I had a real family once.
She sets down her pencil, and sets her chin on my chest. "You ok?"
I look away, not wanting her to see me.
"Come on Kitty." She says poking my cheek with her finger. "Come on. Spill it." .
"For the past couple years it's jut been me and my dad, after my mom disappeared." I say as we both sit up. "And even my dad is barely around."
She looks at me for a second. Her eyes filled with concern. She cups my cheeks with her hands, and pulls me into her embrace. My head rest on her chest, and I can feel her heart beat. She pulls away one of her hands, and places it on top my head.
"I'm sorry Adrien." She sobs. "It must be hard."
I look up to see a single tear rolls down her face. Pulling away I wipe her face, and cup her cheek with my hand.
"It's ok." I reassure her. "You're my family now."
I lean closer, ready to kiss her soft pink lips. Her sky blue eyes stare into mine. Then her phones starts to ring. I pull away, and she sadly reaches for her purse. She rummages through the bag, and takes out the ringing phone.
"Hello?" She answers. "Hi Mama.....I'm at Adrien's. W-We forgot a couple details on the project we're doing....Why?......Ok, be right there." She hangs up.
"I'm sorry." She pouts. "I got to go. My parents want me home."
"It's ok." I say. "But first."
I cup her cheek again, and lean closer. Our lips meet. When a I pull back smiles are plastered on both our faces.
Coming out of her trance she climbs off the bed, and walk over to the couch where her stuff is. I clean up her design book, and pencils. After gathering all of her stuff I walk her to the front door. After she leaves Natalie approaches me.
"Your father is on a video call for you." She informs me.
"Ok." I say not looking forward to seeing my father. I follow her into the living room. Living room is an understatement, it's the size of a house filled with expensive furniture. I stand in front of the plasma TV, my father's face already on screen.
"Son." He say unemotionally.
"Father." I say in the same tone.
He looks at me head to toe, then down at something I can't see on screen.
"Recent news papers and news stories say you have been seen with....... An significant other."
I hold my breath.
What will he say?
"Is this true?" He asks in a monotone voice.
"Yes." I breath out.
"Who?"
"Marinette. She's an up and coming fashion designer. She won your hat competition awhile back." I say worried
"Yes." He says un intrigued.
What will he say?
"She's a good catch, son."
I relax.
"Natalie." He requests his assistants attention.
"Yes sir?" Natalie says stepping in front of the TV.
"Give it to him."
Natalie then walks up to me, and holds out a long thin box. I hadn't notice that she had been carrying it under her arm until now. I take the box, and slide off the lid. Inside sits a red heart shaped necklace with sliver decorations outlined get the edges, along with an indent. I slip my finger nail between the indent, and the hearts splits open. It's a locket!
