I walked into the gym seeing Grayson, Blake, and about twenty boys from the football team. Along with a few of the girls from the cheer team, but the slutastics and Madison weren't there.
Yet anyway.
I also noticed there was a huge breakfast buffet set up, which was probably Grayson's reason for telling me not to eat breakfast.
As far as I could see, there was pancakes, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, french toast, and fruit.
I had to admit Ocean City High did know how to go all out. At my old school, we'd be lucky to get a simple yogurt cup and water.
I walked over to him putting my cheer bag and book bag on the bleachers "Morning McDreamy."
He looked up eating bacon and eggs "Ass-pen. I told you not to eat because Jason's dad owns a five-star restaurant. He caters breakfast and dinner on game days. Pretty nice huh?"
"Luxury dolphins huh?" I said raising an eyebrow at Grayson
"Winners run on good food, excellent food. My own personal philosophy." Grayson said with a wink "Help yourself. Then we can talk about plays I made up. You're gonna love them, trust me."
I gave him a look just to mess with him.
I walked over to the huge buffet grabbing a plastic plate. I fixed my food and then walked over to Grayson.
"Come on let's go all the way to the top. No one is up there. More privacy plus if you're favorite people on the cheer team walk in they won't see you right away." He said taking his plate and notebook with him
We walked up the bleacher stairs to the top row and then we sat down. I started eating while Grayson flipped the pages of his playbook. The food was really good which I guess shouldn't be that surprising since it did come from a five-star restaurant.
"Here Asp." He said handing it to me
I opened the notebook to where he marked it. I looked at the play. "You're gonna run diagonally at the end?"
He nodded "Does it sound stupid?"
I shook my head "No, hard to pull off. Creative, though. Not stupid, though. Are you gonna do this tonight?"
"Maybe. It might not be this game, I haven't had time to practice it with the boys yet so." He said scooting closer "Or this one."
He turned the page to a completely different play.
"Oh, a trick play, my favorite." I said looking at the book "You're gonna get a lot of yards with this one. A field goal could always help in the end too."
He agreed with me "As long as Blake runs fast and tackles fast. Then we're gonna win tonight, I'm sure of it. Plus Tampa Prep isn't all that good."
"You'd win anyway because I've been helping you." I said flipping through the book "Is this what you do all night? You don't party every night like people say you do?"
"Last party I went to was last weekend and it was my grandma's 75th." He said hitting my shoulder "It was boring with no booze."
"I swear I'll hate you if you don't do Hail Mary." I started "Hail Mary has been my favorite since I could remember."
"Here give me the book and the pen."He said as I handed it to him "I'm gonna change the name to Hail Ass-pen."
I laughed sarcastically "Funny."
"Look!" I said hitting his shoulder then pointing to Blake and Madison that walked into the gym together. Madison started leaning towards Blake.
"You don't think she's gonna?"Grayson asked as we started leaning forward to see
