"Get up!" Madison yelled as I opened my eyes
She was hanging up her red dress on one of the hooks in my room. I glanced over at the clock 12:45PM. Dammit. Our nail appointment at 1pm.
I immediately sat up. "Oh my gosh, I overslept."
"Hell yeah, you did." Madison said wearing a flannel and jeans "Put some clothes on. Preferably a button down so you don't mess your hair and makeup up."
I climbed out of bed and walked over to my closet. I grabbed a denim button down shirt and black leggings then I put it on.
I brushed my teeth, quickly did my hair, and then I walked out of my bathroom
"Ready?" I asked as I looked at Madison
"Yeah, your car?" Madison asked
I nodded my head. We quickly went down the stairs and got into my car. I put in the directions for the nail salon, which Madison swore was the best one in the world.
"What color are you getting?" Madison asked as she spun around the nail polish rack
I grabbed a bottle of nail polish "Nude since my dress is floral and has a lot going on already."
"I think I'm gonna do this sparkly silver color.=." She said as she grabbed the bottle
Grayson- I'm doing okay to answer your question, but it won't be hard to put on a happy face tonight. You know why.
I grinned, but at the same time, it felt bad. It sucks to have to put on a happy face after all I've had a lot of practice.
Madison and I got back into my car after we finished getting our nails done. We arrived to the hair salon on time, thankfully.
"So." Madison started "I was in the car with Blake last night and I saw you and Grayson."
"What is so surprising about that? We're always together." Which came out completely different than I intended to
"You guys were hugging! It wasn't a short quick hug, it lasted at least twenty seconds. That's at the least! And you whispered something in his ear. What did you tell him?" Madison said smiling ear to ear
I rolled my eyes "We're just friends. It was a hard night for him last night. I was just the shoulder for him to cry on. Nothing more. I told him that I love him."
"Please, you're more than the shoulder to cry on. Grayson never talks about his dad. Like ever. Not even to Blake and do you know how close they are? Of course, you do. Blake and I talk a lot and he told me everything. Like how Grayson opened up to you a bit about his past. That takes a lot. I mean you're obviously something more - wait for what? You told him that you love him?" Madison said as I parked my car
I opened the door "Gray doesn't like me like that. He doesn't and he probably never will. I don't wanna be collateral damage to him."
"Mhm, whatever. Did he say it back?" Madison said as she climbed out the car
I nodded
"You're right he doesn't like you, he loves you." Madison babbled as I opened the salon door
Really?
My hair stylist name was Lynn and the makeup artist name was Naomi. Lynn washed, straightened, and curled my hair
"I love it!" I smiled as I looked in the mirror
"Great! Time for makeup." Naomi spoke excitedly
She did my makeup heavier than it would normally would be, but I loved it.
"Gosh thank you. Might need to come here every day." I looked in the hand held mirror
