Chapter Two; Silence Speaks Louder Than Words.

Love is a beautiful thing really. Watching Christopher and Alison reenact falling in love between two children was perfect. Not only did they do a good job at acting, but it made me realize that love is such a deep feeling. But, it doesn't need words. There were multiple times in our video that Christopher and Alison could be sitting in complete silence, and be completely comfortable with it. It had me daydreaming about real love, the deep, and beautiful kind of love, where you could be so in love with someone, you know what to say without words.

Finally it was our turn to make our cameo appearance in the video. They had me all dressed up in a white dress, nearly matching Alison's. The kids ran out of school together to Ed and I, and we gave them both huge hugs as if we were their parents. Then, Ed and I were told to look at each other, Like it was the first glance feeling of "Wow, I can see something starting here" as we then walk our separate ways.

Ed was very proud of the video, considering it was mostly his idea. We were also proud of Alison and Christopher, and they had a blast. Tomorrow we were coming back to fix any mistakes, as in rerecording scenes if needed and editing the video.

Ed and I got in the car to head back to the hotel because we'd have another early beginning to our day tomorrow. But instead of going straight back to our little hotel, I decided I was taking Ed out to dinner after a full day of video shoots. We once again had some sing alongs, until we got to the restaurant

We got a table for two, and waited for our orders to be delivered to our table. Both Ed and I had a few people come up and ask for a picture or autograph, which we've now just gotten used to. It actually wasn't as bad as its been in the past. No matter how much I love my fans, its nice to have a dinner without a mob of people asking for your name scribbled on paper. But other than the fans asking, Ed and I sat in silence. No words. But it wasn't the uncomfortable kind of silence. Our eyes would occasionally meet, and one of us would laugh, or smile, but there was no conversation.

"oh my god" I said under my breath, breaking the silence.

"What's wrong?" Ed looked confused.

"I, just, I've been daydreaming a lot lately, its kind of entertaining, you know." I laughed.

"Sounds it." Ed replied. We carried in small talk for a while until our food reached our table. We dug in and continued our small talk for maybe twenty minutes. I needed to avoid the comfortable silence. Because I had been daydreaming lately. About real love; the kind with the comfortable silences. And this couldn't be, I couldn't be...

"Falling for my best friend" My eyes widened.

"What?" Ed said, once again getting a confused look on his face.

"What?" I repeated him.

"You said something about falling, we were talking about the tour..." Ed informed me.

Oh no, I said something out loud. "Yeah, I I'm tired. are you all set to go? I'm full anyways." I said.

"Yeah, um, Taylor are you okay ?" Ed stood up.

I began to leave a tip on the table and stood up next to Ed. "Yes I'm fine. Early mornings and late nights. That's it." I laughed.

"Oh, a little over tired I see." Ed smiled as we began to walk back to the car.

"Exactly." I replied as we walked doutside.

In the car, we did the usual flipping of radio stations. Ed found some songs he liked and I left the buttons alone, allowing him to enjoy his music. But there it was again. No words, neither one of us was even singing. My mind was wandering wild until finally Ed spoke up.

"You should come to my hotel room tonight we can watch a movie if you'd like?" Ed suggested.

"I'd love to, what movie?" I asked.

"You can chose" Ed flashed me a cheeky smile.

"Shrek." I said as I watched his face light up. I know he loved that movie, and i'd never actually seen it, so it'd be nice to see.

"Really?" He asked excitedly.

"Sure." I smiled and stared out the windshield, never looking back at Ed until we got back.

"I'm gunna go change into something more comfortable, I'll be over in five minutes." I informed Ed as I unlocked my hotel room. Room service mustve come around because my room was sparkling. I changed into some plaid pajama pants and a T-shirt. I was not dressed to impress. I grabbed my phone and headed over to Ed's hotel room. I knocked on the door and said "It's me." in a song like way. The door opened and the smell of popcorn overwhelmed me. I stepped inside and saw that Shrek was on the TV, on the start menu.

"Wow, you're fast at setting things up."

"Thanks, You like popcorn right?" Ed waited for an answer as he pulled the bag out of the microwave and dumped the contents into a plastic blue bowl.

"Yes I love it. Now let's watch the movie!!" I tugged on his arm impatiently. He followed me to the couch and sat the popcorn down.

"Wait before you start the movie, do you have a blanket? its cold in here." I rubbed my arms, and Ed stood back up. He walked to his room and came back moments later with a blanket and wrapped it around me, but didn't remove his arm, which was now wrapped around my back and resting on my shoulder. I could see him smile, but he wouldn't look my way. He just began the movie, and I snugged up to his chest, making me smile too. The movie began and we sat there together, as if we were a couple. But we weren't. And will never be. Right?

"Taylor? ...Taylor?" I woke to Ed looking down at me.

"Yeah?" I mumbled sleepily.

"You fell asleep on me." Ed laughed. "You didn't make it an hour into the movie before passing out."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll go back to my room, Thanks fo-" I began to say but was cut off.

"No its fine, I'm just going to go to bed, you can stay here if you'd like, I'll get you a pillow." Ed said. I wasn't going to fight with him, I was tired. I lay back down, and Ed came back with a pillow. He must've thought I was asleep again when He came back because he sighed and just left the pillow on the floor next to the couch. He leaned down and placed his lips on my forehead, before whispering "goodnight Taylor."

As I heard his footsteps signaling he was gone, I smiled. Knowing he couldn't see me, knowing he couldn't see the happiness he called. But, I told myself I wouldn't fall for him. My mind filled itself with questions and thoughts, as I battled it to go to sleep.
