I sprinted too, but when they got closer, I slide under them and got back up, running out of the classroom. I heard the growls and stomps coming behind me. I turned a corner and saw Mr. Naz in his classroom. sitting behind his desk. I pushed myself a little harder, not glancing back to see if the fleabags were getting closer.
"Mr. Naz!" I yelled. He looked up from whatever he was doing, and slowly got up. When I got into his classroom, I closed the door behind me and put my back to it, breathing heavily.
"Eddie, what's going on? Where have you been? I was looking for you and-"
"There's two werewolves who are trying to attack me!" I screamed.
Mr. Naz's eyebrows went up. It looked like he was having a hard time deciding if I was telling the truth or not.
He nodded when he saw the seriousness on my face and said, "Open the door."
My eyes widen. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
"Just do it, Eddie!" He screamed.
There was a little window on the door so I looked behind me and there were two black eyes staring at me. I sighed slowly and took some deep breaths before opening the door and moving out of the way. The door busted open and Serge and Clayton walked inside.
"Eddie we do not have time for your silly games. We just want Denis," Serge said and glared at me.
I moved towards Mr. Naz and scoffed. "Killing everyone isn't going to solve anything, fleabag. Leave him alone."
Serge's eyes moved to Mr. Naz and he smirked. "You know, don't you?"
Mr. Naz opened his mouth to say something when I interrupted. "No, he doesn't. Leave him alone, too."
"No can do, Eddie. Kill anyone who knows us."
"Why don't you kill me? I know your secret! If you're going to kill Denis or Mr. Naz, then kill me first."
They didn't move a muscle. They stared at me in an emotion that I couldn't put my finger on. I didn't know why I was protective of Denis and Mr. Naz, now. I could care less about them, but I chose not to. I'm a Werewolf Slayer for god sake! I have to protect them from monsters.
"No. Nobody is killing any today...or at least yet," Mr. Naz said slowly. He took off his glasses and wiped them on his pant leg.
"What are you talking about, human?" Clayton sneered. Mr. Naz looked up slowly and my eyes widen. His eyes were a bright blue that had a sense of evil in it.
He smirked and said, "Don't be alarmed. I'm not a Werewolf. I'm something else..."
I backed away from him, my hip hitting his desk. "What are you?"
Mr. Naz sighed and put his glasses back on his face. "It's not important right now. What's important is the quote you asked me yesterday."
I sighed slowly and sat down on the seat that I usually sat in his class.
"That quote was made by citizens who disagreed by God. They don't exist anymore because God ordered his soldiers to kill them so they wouldn't kill anymore of us, humans.”
Mr. Naz stopped to see my reaction. I kept a blank face and nodded for him to continue. He looked behind him to see Segre and Clayton standing behind him with their arms crossed over their chests. He sighed and walked to his desk.
“As you can tell, I’m not proud what I’ve done to those who disagreed to God, but…” His nails dragged on the chalkboard, making Segre and Clayton cover their eyes. He stopped and gave them a sheepish smile. “Sorry boys. But I must obey what he’s says.”
“Wait?” I put hand up for him to stop for a second. “You’re an…angel?”
Mr. Naz gave me a short nod and I groaned. I couldn’t believe this. My mythologist is a freaking angel? I mean, I never thought angels would cross my mind because who have time for them? Hell, they disguise themselves better than the two mutts that are standing.
“Okay you’re an angel. What does this have to do with us?” Segre asked annoyingly.
Mr. Naz tapped his finger on his chin and smiled. “God told me that I’m the best of angels that he met. So, he told me to I could live like a human.”
I could tell he was lying. God or whatever was up there didn’t tell him that. I thought angels weren’t supposed to lie or they’ll get in trouble. I got up and narrowed my eyes at him. His eyes turned grey and they held secrets that I knew someday I will learn about.
“I have more questions to ask but I'll ask later,” I said and walked away from him and the mutts.
His answer didn’t answer the quote. It didn’t make sense. And fucking angels coming into Earth? For fuck sakes. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. There was no need killing an angel because why would you? They are purest of the pure. They wouldn’t cause any harm. I realized that I wanted to know more about Mr. Naz and the God life. I took out a cigarette from my back pocket and lit it up. I blew out the smoke and kept walking. Chase needed to hear about this.
