I heard voices, whispering and screaming, and then back to whispering. I felt stings coming from my shoulders and one of my legs. Then I went over what felt like a stick and then something warm and firm. I kept feeling that feeling when I finally realized what happened. Chase and I were in the woods when two wolves caught us, knocking us out cold. Damn them.

Chase is going to nag and blame that this was my fault that we got caught. I don't think he'll do that if we get eaten alive. I slowly opened my eyes, moving trees and something brown and a form. When I got my vision cleared, that form was Chase. His eyes were closed and it looked like someone was pulling him. His face smeared onto the floor, his mouth a little opened, and his arms up. He wasn't the only one.

My face was smeared with dirt, leaves, and more dirt. I spited out some leaves and looked at whoever was dragging me. There were two guys who were talking to each other but it didn't look fun because of how serious their faces were.

As they were dragging me, I lifted my head up and groaned. My cheek and head pounded like someone banged my head on a wall thousand times. They stopped and looked at me. One walked over to me and I started moving away, next to Chase. I shook his shoulder and he groaned.

"Five more minutes, mom," he said sleepily.

"I'm not your mom so wake the hell up!" I screamed.

He snapped his eyes open, jumping up afterwards. He groaned again, gripping his head.

"I feel like someone slammed a frying pan over my head!"

The two boys looked at us and we looked back at them. No one said anything. I sighed and I was going to say something when a door slammed opened and a man walked out of a cabin. I didn't see the cabin. I looked around and I saw a grill besides the big cabin, logs, and beer cans on top of the logs. The man walked towards us and I put my hand behind my back to get my switchblade to find it not there.

"Where's my blade?" I asked, glaring at the man. I didn't care if he was an adult. I wanted my switchblade.

"We ask, you listen, human," the man said.

I scoffed. "We ask, you listen? Bullshit. I want my switchblade. We can forget about this and we can go back home."

The man growled and I didn't have time to react when I felt a hand on my throat.

"I will not take orders from a puny human. Do you know who I am?" He growled.

I slammed my elbow on his Capitulum and he let me go. I dropped to my feet and tried to show that it didn't affect me. "Obviously. I'm not an idiot like you, mutt."

They growled at me and started walking towards me. I felt a hand on my arm and the boy who dragged me growled louder.

"Don't make them angry, Eddie. Remember what your dad said," Chase whispered. I glanced at his face and sighed quietly. I didn't like making Chase scared. He knew I could possibly get us killed by Wolves, but we didn't want to die by the hands of an animal.

"What do you want to know?" I asked, venom coming out of my mouth.

The two boys growled again and the man put his hand up to silence them. "I'm Vincent, the Gamma pack of Mistlock and father of Serge. Why have you stepped into our territory?"

"To cut things short, I was hiding in my secret place until ripetards like you fucked up my peaceful day," I said and smirked. Vincent eyes turned black and his breathing came out quick. He clenched his hand and sighed slowly. "Since you have seen us in our Wolffom, you have to stay with us."

Chase gasped and I chuckled bitterly. "You've got to be kidding? I would rather die than live with dirt wolves."

The boy who dragged grabbed my neck and slammed to the ground. "Don't ever disobey the Gamma and my father! If you really want to die, I'll sure make it quick," he screamed.

"Please do. Then my family will know your secret."

He tightened his hold. "We'll fight back."

I rolled my eyes. "You don't get it, do you? Everyone knows everyone in this town. If I die, people will get suspicious and then they'll know Wolves are running around the town and possibly kill your kind."

His eyes stared in mine, almost staring into my soul. He let go and got up.

I got up with a smirk on my face. "What? Too much of a pussy to kill me?"

He stopped walking and looked over his shoulder. "Don't push it, dick."

 "My bad. I meant pup."

His eyes turned black for a second but then he walked inside the cabin with his friend following him.

"You need to go home and get your things. Tell your family that you're leaving," Vincent said and walked into the cabin. I sighed and rubbed my neck where the mutt grabbed me. Chase and I turned around and started walking to my house.

"Are we really going to follow their orders?" Chase said, running a hand through his hair.

"I don't know. I know I have to tell my dad. He will surely kill them without a second thought," I said and looked around the ground. Damn. What if they stole my switchblade? I can't find another one like that.

"I need a cigarette," I mumbled.
