I hold my breath when he said that. How could that be? How could vampires still be alive? And why would a werewolf drink vampire blood? These questions make my head hurt. At least I have someone who knew the answer to them.

"How could vampires be alive? Aren't they, like existent?" I asked and let go of Denis' hand.

The heat quickly vanished and I was a little disappointed. Mr. Naz made a humming sound and looked around my body. It felt like he was searching something inside me and it made me uncomfortable. I cleared my throat to get his attention but he kept searching. I had enough of this.

"Answer me. I want this man, this thing, out of me," I snapped.

Mr. Naz looked at me in eyes before getting up and walking to his desk.

"They are. This man, Lochlan, must have made a deal with one and gave him vampire blood to make him stronger," Mr. Naz said calmly. I never told him his name...Maybe its an angel thing.

"If he was strong, why didn't he kill me?" I asked.

Mr. Naz chuckled and took off his glasses, wiping them on his pants leg. "Werewolves and vampires don't mix, Eddie. If you're a werewolf and you drink vampire blood, not only are you stronger but you're dying."

I stopped and thought what he said. I wonder how many werewolves drink vampire blood. Why would they make a deal for a silly thing? I looked at Denis and he looked confused but calm. I didn't get why he was calm. I was freaking out when my dad told me about werewolves and vampires. But never angels. Why wouldn't he tell me? Does he have a problem with angels?

I opened my mouth to ask more questions but black liquid came out of my mouth. I coughed and grabbed my stomach. It was turning and twisting and ripping, like something was trying to get out. I gasped and Denis quickly grabbed my cheeks. He made me look at him and I coughed again, spitting out black liquid on his face.

"I-I'm sorry, Denis," I whispered.  Lochlan chuckled darkly. Mr. Naz rushed over to me and put his finger under my chin. He wiped some black liquid off my chin and looked around it.

He put it close to his mouth when I said, "S-stop. You don't want to get like me."

"I won't," he reassured. He put his finger in his mouth and shivered. He made an awful face before touching his hand on my forehead. The peaceful feeling came back and then went away. I touched my chin and smiled.

"It will return. Lochlan will return," Mr. Naz said monotonously and frowned.

I nodded my head and grabbed Denis' hand. We got up and walked towards the door. I felt something happy go through me and I needed to say something that'll make Mr. Naz happy.  turned around and saw Mr. Naz stacking papers.

"Mr. Naz," I called. He looked up and gave me a blank look. "Thanks for helping me. I needed this."

I turned back around and walked out of school with Denis. I didn't want to see Mr. Naz reaction...yet.

"So, Mr. Naz is an angel and you didn't know that?" Denis asked as we walked into the woods.

I frowned and looked at him. I felt a little lost when Mr. Naz told me he was an angel. I'm not the religious type and pray every day or think something is going to happen.

"My dad told me there's only two creatures that live in the world, werewolves and vampire. He never told me about angels walking in Earth," I said and kicked a small pebble on the ground.

"I don't believe in God," Denis blurted out.

"I don't either. I mean, if there's a God, why can't he show his face and help us?" I questioned.

"Someone always needs an allie if they start a war, Eddie. He has other things to do, y'know." My frowned deepened and Denis chuckled. I almost melt when he chuckled. Everything thing about him makes me melt. To his looks to his personality, he is a good friend. Just a friend.

"Anyways," I went back to reality when I heard Denis' voice. "I have my own angel."

I raised an eyebrow. "Who, your parents?"

Denis chuckled again and gave me a big smile. "You're my own angel, Eddie."
